The area of Carbis Bay - highlight being St Ives - incorporates Porthkidney Sands. I approached it from Hayle - and as far as the eye could see it was white sand, turquoise sea changing to navy at sunset, and one could be forgiven for...More

Bit off the beaten track so never busy. Lovely walk via St Euny church. Only issue is the lack of car parking - one the spaces by the church are full then it can be a long walk.

Access is best achieved from the Footpath near St.Uny Church in Lelant Village. The path runs down through a Golf course over the South West Coast path and down to the Estuary. Turn left and within a few hundred yards Porthkidney Sands and entrance to...More

Parking can be restricted as you park by the little church (free) and walk through the golf course, approximately 8 minutes with steep steps at the bottom. Fantastic clean beach for walking with the dog. Totally recommend. No toilets or facilities tho.

This beach was recommended to us by another family with a dog. It’s difficult to find beaches in the summer where we can take our dog along, but this was a super find. Loved by us all. Very clean and so much beautiful sand for...More

Golden sands, blue seas, walked alongside the estuary down to the sea, fabulous and much quieter than many beaches in the area, idea for the dog to run and swim

Wonderful clean sands that stretch out for miles it seems and even more so as the tide goes out. Loved by dog walkers and those who don’t want facilities and are prepared to walk

We walked from St Ives to Lelant and back, and walked along the beach each way. After leaving Carbis Bay the tide was out so we walked around the headland and all along Porthkidney beach enjoying the views. We then followed the coast path to...More

As far as I am aware there isn't any parking for Porth Kidney sands, it's a walk I'm afraid. We were staying at Carbis Bay so walked along the cliffs from our accommodation but there is public parking in Carbis Bay. I... More
