Dog friendly, beach a little narrow, but vey clean. Saw lots of bird life and some seals. Beatiful view of light house.

North-facing, so the water is colder than the West-facing beach (Herring Cove). Nice a wide and you can go for a long walk. We saw whales spouting in the distance.
Beautiful beach. Beautiful area. The bike/walking path is challenging enough. Especially if you are biking it. We went off season and had perfect weather.
Its October. Not only are the beaches for the birds but I saw whales and seals from my watch area. Early morning the best.
