Five hours of our life we won’t get back. One of the conductors had a ill tempered demeanor, the PA system on the train did not work so passengers had little idea what they were looking at. The scenic part of their name is misleading...More

Friday morning on October 5th my wife, sister and brother in law and two of my friends and I drove to Cumberland from Bel air. We all drove separately because we all were carrying bikes and no one vehicle was capable of hauling everything. Turned...More

Lots of people have given this a less than optimal review, but I loved the trip. It starts out in Historic Cumberland, MD. You ride the train to Frostburg, MD. You have the option to take your bike for $5 extra dollars. Tip: have a...More

We took the Fall Foliage tour and really enjoyed the trip itself. The boarding process in Cumberland is horrible. We had been standing in line waiting to board for quite a while when someone standing at a door quite a distance behind us announced that...More

We expected to see more of the Maryland countryside. Not mostly woods and backyards, on a train going 10 mph. Should have gone hiking or biking instead, if we knew the train was going to go this slow. Announcer put some historical context into sites...More

Hope you can come back and do more exploring! There is a lot of beauty and historical facts throughout Mountain Maryland!

This is a silly trip that takes a very long time. If your children are obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine, then by all means subject yourself to this mind numbing experience. The train has not been cleaned well in quite some time. It provides...More

We take pride in our small towns and it's unfortunate that you could not see the beauty in the moment.

Perfectly timed and well received! The food was excellent, the Mystery was fun and the train ride made it perfect!

The train ride to Frostburg took about an hour and was comfortable in an air conditioned rail car. The snack bar on the train was an added little surprise. The conductor went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable. For an additional $5...More

Unfortunately, we do not have open air coaches, but one day we may! We do offer rides from Cumberland to Frostburg! Thanks for the kind review.

The family decided to take the train to try the Murder Mystery ride. It was really awesome. The scenery, depending on which side of the train you were on, was either mostly forest or open areas. Either one had enough to keep you attention. The...More
