Nice Beach if You Can Find a Legal Place to Park
Jul 2021
In a perfect world, all beaches would be at least as nice as this one. The beach, made narrow by high tide, was not accessible to those with mobility impairments. Its sand was clean and clear of sea wrack. High surf attracted surfers. Lifeguards were on duty. A portable outhouse was in the parking area. A vendor peddled gelato beside parked vehicles, which were along a seawall. We paid to park at a pay station. We were lucky to snag a spot. We liked what we found here; if we return, we’ll be sure to arrive early in the day.

Beach-combing at Fortunes Rocks
Dec 2020 • Family
Beautiful, sunny and cold afternoon at the beach an hour and a half before low tide. Easy parking by the rock protected road. Maybe 8 people on the beach this time of year/day. Hunting for sea glass. Walked maybe a third of the beach. Warmer weather would definitely make for an all day stay.

Maine’s very beachy Cape Cod like beach!

Fortunes Rocks Beach is an amazing and beautiful beach. It’s a hidden gem overshadowed by Ogunquit, Old Orchard Beach and Popham Beach. After Labor Day the beach is free. Middle Beach is after Fortunes Rocks and has the best white savd and tons of beach grass just so beachy.

Not worth it!

I would pass on this experience. There’s no Seaglass to be found. It cost $22 to park. We then got welcome to town ticket for parking in the wrong direction. There is no sign that tells you this and we are out of state so we didn’t know. Frankly there are many more wonderful towns to visit that are a lot more welcoming than this I would pass

Maine memories

Parking is limited and $22 a day at the machine on site. Clean, hard-packed sand is easy for strollers at low tide. Two port-a-potties, lifeguards, occasionally served by local food vendors.

A long, deep, pretty beach at low tide, wide open seascape. Not big waves on our visit. Would return. Family-oriented.

Beautiful Beach Off the Beaten Path

Wide, beautiful beach. Not near much other than houses. Limited parking, but just wonderful in the late afternoon.

Nice beach if you can get on it
May 2020
Fortune Rocks Beach blends into Middle Beach, which is closer to the village at Biddeford Pool. There's an accessway near a tiny parking lot. The lot requires permits from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. It's a beautiful, quiet beach with great views, but the very limited parking situation prevents a lot of people from visiting, unfortunately. The day I went, I saw loads of people pulling in and out of the lot because all the spaces were taken and there's no street parking.

Beautiful beach! Fun to watch the surfers! Drove past this hidden gem while taking the coastal route from Old Orchard Beach. Would love to stay near this beach!

Best beach, no crowds.
Aug 2019
Love this beach in Biddeford. About 4 miles from the city, easy to find off Rt 9. Summer requires a beach pass unless you go after 5 pm. After Labor Day, the pass is not needed for non-residents can park for free. There are actually 3 access areas to get to the beach. The shore side parking near the big rocks, and then a small area for about 15 cars about a mile down, and then a large area about another mile down the road that holds 50-70 cars. Low tide leaves a huge beach, and the beach is never crowed like tourist areas in southern Maine. Lifegaurds during the summer. Very relaxing place to hang out, play, swim. Bathrooms available at the largest lot, and porta-potty at smaller shore side parking area.
