    A memorable experience
This was a very memorable experience and guide Laura was amazing. I also has me thinking about coming and working for markers mark and also learning about whisky more. I really enjoyed learning all about how whisky is made and everything. I will be back in the future.

    Nice visit
Fun experience, beautiful property. When you pull up you might wonder if you're in the right spot due to the lack of "Wow" as you pull in but go ahead and get out and walk through. The wow will come. It was fun dipping your own bottles. You can grab a tour or wander around on your own. Nice place.

    Surreal setting
This is a beautiful place with all the bells and whistles of a top-notch distillery except for a restaurant. And our tour guide Taylor was very good and explained everything about makers Mark very nicely. He enjoyed learning about the history of the place and the founders. They are probably the only place that rotates their barrels of liquor in the Rick house. They have a production line where they dip the top of the bourbon bottle in the red sealant wax but since we were there on Saturday, it was not running. Guest are allowed to buy a bottle of bourbon and do their own dip. They have a lovely bar at the top of the hill by their exit, this is a tour that I felt was worth the money. However, they did not give their tour yes, chocolate or crackers, or anything for that matter.

    Bucket List Kentucky Bourbon distillery
As a Maker’s Mark Ambassador, it was such a special day. For many of us, we have been waiting over 6 1/2 years for this event AND Maker’s Mark did not disappoint. An exclusive tour, special recognition and Ambassadors perks made for a bucket list day. When people ask me which distilleries to visit on the KY Bourbon trail, I always tell them Maker’s Mark. It is indeed one of my special “Happy Places”.

    Maker's Mark Tour
My husband and I started off our experience with a cocktail in the bar area, the cocktails were delicious. We then sat on the back area overlooking the property, it was very relaxing and beautiful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the entire tour which enhanced the experience. We learned a lot and purchased some whisky to take home with us. We will be back again with friends.

    Family visit to Maker’s Mark
The trip and the tour was amazing. We went as a family and I wasn’t sure how it was going to be with two kids ages nine and 12, but the tour guide was very kind and informative and knowledgeable. It was fun not only for us, but he’s also enjoyed learning about the history.

    Tour of Marker’s Mark distillery
I arrived late, we got a phone call to see, if we were still coming, arrived and was shown round the distillery by Trevor. Whom I discovered was the vip tour manager, it was just us. He spent 2 hours with me and it was the best experience of my holiday.

A must experience for anyone interested in bourbon
This tour was both informative and highly entertaining. Our guide explained both the history and the process of this spirit and allowed us to view almost every aspect of production. As a bourbon novice, it gave me a much better appreciation for what goes into the production of a quality bourbon. The tastings were an added bonus.

    Family bourbon tour.
The grounds were well kept. Check-in was quick and easy. The bathrooms were clean. There was a lounge with different bourbon drinks and a nice patio to enjoy while waiting for our tour. Jim was very knowledgeable and answered all questions during the tour. The gift shop was nice, but I felt like everything (clothing, key chains) was overpriced. We did purchase some bourbon. I would recommend the tour, the grounds are beautiful!

Best anniversary with great friends & Laura, the tour guide.
Laura was our guide for the Ambassador tour & she was unbelievable. Funny & very knowledgeable. Go to Maker’s Mark web page & sign up for Ambassador. You will need to qualify but it is worth it. Puts you name on a barrel & 6 to 8 years later go to buy bourbon from your barrel.

We’re in whiskey (or is that whisky?) country so gotta do a distillery. From reading on distilleries, The Maker’s Mark Distillery was one of the better ones. On our initial travels to Louisville, Maker’s Mark was a bit off the way. But, on the return trip, it was out of the way, but just a little. We had time and decided to take the tour.

A nice tour. There’s a lot to making whisky (just like there’s a lot to distilling beer). The grounds are just gorgeous. They have numerous old buildings and machinery. A neat story. The guide was both engaging and informative. And, it’s all about drinking whisky. My wife and I shared that there’s quite an alcohol culture. And it’s not only the taste. At the end of the tour, we had a tasting of four different Maker’s Mark varieties. We could tell the difference between the tastes. But none of them good - to us. We decided we’re not whisky drinkers. A nice stop.

My nephew and I spent a week traveling the KY Bourbon Trail, and a friend recommended Makers Mark. As we were trying to focus mainly on smaller distilleries, Makers Mark was not part of our planning. Oh my, I am so glad we included it! We did the Walking Tour, which focused on the land, regenerative gardening, the mushroom farm, and the sheep! Of course, we also had a wonderful time at the end of the tour sampling bourbon that was exclusive to the distillery. We enjoyed our first tour so much we booked the Farm Tour, and were able to travel around the property in the comfort of a Lexus SUV, where we saw the orchard, the wheat fields, the source of the water for Makers, and just some of the most beautiful vistas! Ethan was an AMAZING guide, and he really made our time - heck, our entire day - so special. Worth the drive!! PS The artwork was also amazing!

The Maker’s Mark experience was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in a really friendly environment. The Star Hill Provisions Resturant is a great place to catch a quick meal before your tour. Really great options on the menu for all pallets. Make sure to hit the gift shop and dip your own bottle of Maker’s.

Fun tour experience at this distillery. Small tour numbers and informative guide. Out in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. Restaurant is under a makeover so missed that. Would go again and highly recommend.

This was our first bourbon distillery tour and it turned out to be a good choice. It is a nice tour that takes you through the process from grinding the grain to putting on the signature red wax caps. Our guide also provided us with a history of the company and family. The grounds are lovely. One of the treats of the tour was seeing the Chihuly glass ceiling in the room with the pewter collection. Our tasting consisted of 4 bourbon varieties and we were given information about each one. There is also a nice gift shop and a distillery cat. In the gift shop you have an opportunity to try your hand at putting the wax on the top of your purchased bourbon. We did one for our soon to be born grandchild so they can open a bottle on their 21st birthday.

Great facility! The tour we took was amazing. Our guide Andrew was funny, informative and friendly. The facility is very well maintained and gorgeous. It was interesting to hear the history and learn their process for production.
