I really love Salato Wildlife Education Center! The Visitors' Center is open in the Spring, Summer and Fall but the hiking trails are open year round. There are also two large ponds for fisherpeople. I like the trails - there are no bad ones -...More

Checked this place out for a fun time when in town. Very well kept & neat exhibits to check out, with easy to follow areas to see different animals. Of course when we were there, it was a little cloudy/gloomy outside, but it was still...More

What a great way to spend some time with family on a very hot Tuesday afternoon. Wheelchair accessible for the most part, educational and fun. Friendly and informative staff.

Certainly not a big zoo but very entertaining and educational for its purpose....to showcase native Ky animals, fish, and reptiles. A very good (and inexpensive) way to spend a couple hours in Frankfort! Look for the wild rabbits, geese, and ducks as you enter the...More

Easy walk outside & great play/hands on learning area inside. Both my 6 & 9 yr olds enjoyed it. It was a hot day on our visit and a lot of the animals were staying in the shade but could still be viewed.

The nature walk was really interesting . You get to see the animals in almost a "nayural " envoirment. I would almost call it Frankforts best little Zoo. My wife especially enjoyed it after having cataract surgery. the animals were very clear to see.

Nice local place for families. Enjoyed brining my out of town family. It has grown over the years. Nice that you can get fishing poles for free.
