Front 9 is OK, but the back 9 is a stunner-! Fantastic elevation changes over the river. We saw deer, turkeys and eagles while we played. Nice staff. Clubhouse is basic, but the carts are great, price is very reasonable for the quality of this course. Course is something you will tell your friends about. Weekdays are great, you may have the place pretty much to yourself, really relaxing and a visual treat. Heck, driving carts around this place is a blast. Check their website for "unlimited golf" and similar non-peak-time deals.

This is an outstanding golf course in Central Iowa. A beautiful and challenging place to play golf. Bent grass fairways and excellent greens.

The course has an unlimited source for water which has the course in great shape. The back 9 is very challenging and not something you would want to walk and play.

This is a local course for me and one I love to play. It is like playing to very different courses both of which have some challenging holes and beautiful scenery. The front 9 is generally an open approach with some natural grass and tree lined roughs. The back nine is down in the river valley with elevation changes, some narrow fairways, and some sharp dog legs.

The course is well maintained but they have had some issues in the past with the back nine and some erosion but they have repaired or moved tees to address the issues. The repairs have always been made quickly and I never felt that any hole was diminished because of it. They have also continued to upgrade amenities with adding paved paths, restrooms, etc.

Cost is reasonable and they have some great specials such as all day play on Wednesday. I've never had a problem getting on even when just showing up without a reserved tee time.

As I said it is a local course for me but I would definitely travel to play this one.

This course is incredible. Always well kept with views you won't find anywhere else in the state. A challenging front nine is followed up by a scenic and even more challenging back nine. If you're a decent golfer and a fan of great courses you have to play here. You will not be disappointed.

I played here based on availability and price. It is a very good course. The fairways and greens are well cared for. The front nine is nice but the back nine is wonderful. The setting is spectacular. I will play again the next time I am in the area.

Course has some very nice sights, difficult in many areas, open in a few. Do u know what a valley is? You'll find out as you work your way through the back nine then back up.

My wife and I played an early season round of golf March 21st and had a great time. The course will surprise you after driving through the flat lands of Central Iowa you come onto a very hilly golf course. The clubhouse is nothing fancy but check-in was very quick and the employee very pleasant. The grass was still dormant but the fairways and greens were in great shape. There must be 100’s of deer in the area judging by the amount of dropping’s on the course.

The course is very interesting and the back nine is very hilly and scenic. They are doing a bit of work on some retaining walls so there are a couple areas off the fariways that are torn up.

We had a great time and managed to keep from losing too many golf balls.
