I have done several outfitters in Colorado and Arkansas, but none can rival the service from Seven Oaks. We had a great time on kayaks (for the first time) down the Des Moines. We wanted to try them before we bought some. We had only tried the sit in - but now we will only buy the sit on top. In Arkansas we used canoes. Definitely prefer the kayaks. We enjoyed the trip on the river, even if we were paddling into the wind at times. LOL Definitely we will be back !!

We had such a blast river tubing down the Des Moines river. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They gave clear instructions on navigating the river. We had the perfect day! Seven Oaks does an amazing job! We will definitely be back:)

Didn't feel like they were taking covid precautions seriously. Having close friends that passed away from this virus, it is just sad that they don't take it seriously.

We are Grandparents to 3 young grandsons between 4-7 yrs old. We brought the kids to Seven Oaks to learn to ski. I can not say enough positive things regarding the quality of instruction (they made it easy to understand AND fun!), and the excellent care given to maintaining the hill. It is hard to believe this exists in small town Iowa. Im glad they added on to the lodge, it is really a nice place to hang out for our non-king family members. Nice job Seven Oaks!

This season I purchased a season pass. I can’t say enough good things about this ski hill. For the Midwest the snow is fantastic and every inch is groomed to perfection! The lodge is beautiful and the lifts are fast and efficient! Great staff too.

2 hours for four people. Had the whole course to ourselves. Great course - spread out, but good cover to move around to. MUCH nicer than the metro area’s indoor options.

The staff was extremely helpful, even helping try to fix my son’s broken gun.

Now that I’ve seen Seven Oaks, we’ll be back for snow tubing and river tubing too.

It was our first time at Seven Oaks and we went tubing as a family. Great service, great staff, well maintained equipment. Would recommend to others to try then out for winter fun.

We rented a canoe and a kayak for a September afternoon float down the Des Moines river from Hwy 30 down to E57 west of Luther. Central Iowa has had a bit of a drought recently and the river water level was low, and the river was slow, so we had to paddle quite a bit from 1:30-4:30. Saw a couple of people walking near Ledges, but otherwise had the river to ourselves, with only a couple of hints of civilization. Seven Oaks provided the life jackets, paddles, and shuttle bus service. Recommended.

Staff is helpful. I have only been for winter openings, but will have to go sometime in summer.

It's a great place to go and break out some wintertime cobwebs. Although I own my own skies, they do offer rentals. They have a chairlift. Of course, the hills are short being Iowa, but it's a great place for flatlanders to get the fundamentals of skiing before heading to the mountains.

And apparently, they have wedding parties out here as well! Family friendly place with canoes and tubing equipment and buses to haul people up and down the river in the summer and some nice smaller slopes and a chairlift for skiing in the winter, including snow machines. Just a few short miles west of Boone, Iowa, this is easy to get to off highway 30. Clean. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids today. Call for prices as they may change.
