Amkunj is a black sand beach. The beach is in North Andaman. If you happen to go to Rose & Smith Islandv(Diglipur) while returning you may pass some time here. Not recommended for swimming. I was told that sea turtle would breed here during the season.

This beach is not frequently visited one. However while travelling from Rangat to Diglipur, you can opt to see it if you have ample time in hand.. Okay sort of beach when compared to the beauty in Andaman

Amkunj beach is located at Rangat, middle Andaman. An average beach with white long stretch. One can visit this beach while visiting Diglipur

One can catch a glimpse of this beach as one is driving from Rangat to Diglipur. We took some time off to spend half an hour on the beach. The beach is not suitable for swimming due to submerged rocks and corals close to the beach. Nonetheless a beautiful and serene beach to admire nature's beauty.…
