I took my husband to the museum to fly in the spitfire simulator and also to look at the museum in general. We both really enjoyed the visit, there was a lot to look at some very helpful and keen staff.

This was a fantastic trip with lots of information available. Don’t let the size fool your judgement, we was in there for over two hours as a lot of literature about the items in yen museum, every bit has a story Beijing how it got...More

Visited this museum as a stopover while travelling to Ramsgate. This is a fairly small museum but it is next door to the RAF Manston museum so worth while if visiting them both. I enjoyed looking at the highly undervalued Hurricane and wish that it's...More

My husband has just completed the Spitfire experience, given to him as a present. He really enjoyed the 30 minute ‘flight’ on the simulator, having been given clear instructions on the use of all the controls to enable take-off, flight to London, including barrel rolls...More

Small but very good and interesting, there is free parking and free entry to this museum and there is a cafe doing meals at reasonable prices. You can go online before you go and book a go on a Spitfire flight simulator with an instructor,...More

We visited this museum which is ran by volunteers who all know everything about the war time. To see a Hurricane and Spitfire up close was amazing, the cockpit seats are so so small it must have been uncomfortable for pilots to fly. There is...More

Hi Ann, thank you for lovely review. I believe the old books you saw would have been our second-hand bookshelf, all for sale at a low price! We hope you manage to visit again.

Given the Spitfire simulator experience as a present and was not disappointed. Although expertly guided through the experience it becomes thoroughly absorbing and requires total focus and concentration as you operate the controls. However the museum is much more than the simulator with both a...More

Had a quick look round here after going to the excellent RAF Manston museum opposite, and was also very impressed with this place. Entry is free (although donations are welcome), there are 2 huge rooms stocked with loads of information about Spitfires and Hurricanes. Also...More
