Treat yourself and take a leisurely drive through this exquisite natural bushland. We even saw a huge darker grey koala, it was a memorable afternoon.

It was a stormy Sunday afternoon on Norton Summit & after showing my friend where Id ridden my bike to the previous week, we were trying to find Morialta national park. The hospitality shown here is hard to surpass with good wine, picnic tables to share with friends, take your own basket or order one of their platters. Set amidst the towering Eucalypts listen to the birds whether it be eventide or early afternoon, play quoits or enjoy the artist of the day in the gallery. Special occasions have visiting musicians entertain while native kangaroos peep from the shadows of the native bush and sometimes a shy Koala. Watch the flight to Black Cockatoos as you try the range of wines. Sue and her husband are the most gracious and friendly hosts. Most weekends invite the adventurous motorist up the winding Norton Summitt road to enjoy, but a trip well worth it. …

Set deep within a forest of towering candle-bark gum trees this boutique winery is also a haven for local wild-life including large flocks of sulphur-crested cockatoos and yellow-tailed black cockatoos. It is down a well maintained dirt road which just adds to the Aussie experience. Wines feature - shiraz, pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, sparkling red and sparkling white are all great and well priced. Large marquees and an old pizza oven fired up keep away the weather and add to the outdoorsy style. Just add a picnic and a group of friends and it works a treat. Nearby Stirling and Norwood shopping strips provide excellent breads, cheeses, meats and salads.…

An evening spent at Sinclair's Gully is an experience you will never forget. The beautiful surroundings and the warm welcome from Sue and Sean are just the start, the wine they produce here is excellent and what better way to enjoy it than with good friends and a lovely food platter. I was lucky enough to visit last year and cannot wait to go back when I am in Adelaide next March. This is a winery where they care passionately about their surroundings and the wildlife they share it with. Beats the overly commercial wineries hands down! If you can GO!…
