I took my mom on her birthday. We are from Chicago but had never done an architecture tour.
The tour started promptly at 3:00, and everyone got a good seat. Our guide, Dan, was excellent; we found him informative, professional, and a well-paced guide ....More
This is an excellent tour. The volunteer guides are extremely knowledgeable and you will learn so much about Chicago's architecture and history. Although young children will probably be bored, older children and adults of all ages will enjoy it.
First time tour for a long time Chicago visitor. Should have done this trip long ago. Our volunteer guide, Kathleen, was knowledgeable and very engaging. Great insight from a historical and architectural perspective...
This was a fascinating way to see and learn about the architecture of Chicago! Our docent was extremely knowledgeable. Downside, it was rainy and from inside the boat it was hard to hear the presentation over the conversations. It would be better with some kind...More
What an amazing trip!! Such fantastic knowledge from Dick, the volunteer. So interesting to learn about all the different architecture throughout the history of Chicago. I absolutely recommend doing this at any point of your holiday. It was fascinating.
This is an intense tour. The guide seems to know every building--dates, architects, etc. It's a lot. Seems like he was happy to answer questions after, but there is not chance to ask questions during the tour b/c he's rapid fire the whole time.

It would have been very hard to see all the buildings on this tour if you did it yourself. The perspective from the river and the knowledge of the docent made this 90 minute cruise so amazing. Highly recommend.
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
