This is a beautiful cathedral. It is well worth the visit to check out the architecture of the building if nothing else.

Hubby and I visited today. Stunning interior. You are not allowed to go upstairs, to get a different view. Well worth walking through. Love the pipe organ!

If you are interesting in church architecture then a visit to Holy Name is well worth your time. My wife and I went for a Saturday evening mass while visiting Chicago and were blow away with how beautiful this church is.

Sunday Mass is a spiritual experience in this stunning cathedral. There is a homey feel to Holy Name, despite the opulent grandeur. I especially appreciate the wide mix of worshippers.

A beautiful catholic cathedral on the edge of downtown Chicago. We were lucky enough to get to Mass a few minutes early and were able to enjoy the last minutes of a young couples (Lauren and Mark)wedding. Be sure to allow Time to walk around...More

I was thankful this peaceful and lovely cathedral was open when I decided to wander in. I love being able to sit prayerfully in open cathedrals and am happy some of these exist in the US as well as abroad. It's worth a few minutes...More

Went for morning Mass and found it to be a lovely church conducive to prayer. Not up there with the great Cathedrals of Europe as far as architecture, etc. but enjoyed looking around after Mass.

It's a Church . . . go on in as long as it is not after visiting hours. I sincerely doubt if they appreciate cameras flashing though. While you're there, light a candle, say a prayer and leave a couple bucks in the box.
