We walked down the Riverwalk one afternoon to get some exercise. Very pretty and busy - lots of other walkers and bicyclists.

We walked the full length of the Chicago River walk. Beautiful way to walk along the river and enjoy the sites of the city away from the street and hustle and bustle.

We took the walk along the Chicago River and besides being very cold, we weren't all that impressed. Next time we'll do a river cruise and see how that stacks up.

Chicago is finally accepting and enjoying its river. The River Walk is an escape from the bustle above by just walking down a staircase. The feel of the River Walk changes around every corner.

Anytime of day, and evening, this is a lovely spot to just enjoy the river and architectural highlights. We did this every day we were in town.

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of

There are only a very few restaurants on the walk itself. 1 is dog friendly. If you are asking about places "near" the river walk there are a few more. Do an online search for dog friendly dining guide.
