Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

- Donna Dietrich6 contributionsNew family fun in ChicagoWhat an experience! So many cool exhibits and puzzles. There was so much to do and the kids had an amazing time!! Felt very safe. Employees sanitized after each guest used an exhibit, everyone wore masks and there is a limited amount of people per hour. We cannot wait to go back!Visited November 2020Travelled with familyWritten 14 November 2020
- d_OHL15La Grange, Illinois19 contributionsFun, safe experienceTook my 20-something adult children and we/they loved it. The exhibits were fascinating and really tests your abilities. Now all their friends want to go once it reopens. The location is very easy, a block from Millennium Park and right next to the El station. Plenty of parking within a block. If you are looking for a safe, indoor experience for your whole family, you will not be disappointed. I was particularly impressed with the great lengths they went to make the experience Covid safe(masks and social distancing mandatory of course) but also disinfectant stands throughout the museum. We bought several of the puzzles to take home which have come in very handy with so much family time over the holidays. In these strange times where we spend so much time hunkered down, I expect this place to be very popular once ILL Museum Restrictions are lifted.Visited November 2020Written 2 December 2020
- Geoff C1 contributionGreat Experience! This museum was awesome! Tons of cool visual effects. Best part— some of the exhibits allow you to be part of the visual. We left with some awesome pictures! The experience was well organized, and I felt very safe— saw multiple people wiping down surfaces and crowd control was on point. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Will be back with the kids for sure (date night this time!)Visited November 2020Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 November 2020

This place was well worth the money. There was a lot to see and do, and was entertaining to all ages (us as adults and the kids that were around us, about 7 and up I'd estimate). Interactive rooms, games and visual effects. Loved it! West started the tour off great before releasing us on our own. We were allowed to take as many pics as we wanted, take our time, and in the end, a couple of the best optical illusions Ian and Naomi helped us take with our phones were the best. Definitely check this place out on your visit!

Too expensive for the experience.
Not for children under 8-
some rooms are well done but only 20% of it. Last only 30 to 40 minutes
Would not recommend it

The museum visit was disappointing. Very tight and had amateur illusions. Perhaps better for children or teens and not adults. Great marketing on social media but looked and felt different once you arrived.

What a fun museum to visit for all ages. I'm glad we decided to go yesterday after visiting our friend. I was surprised at how much fun this place was. Every exhibit was fun to see and interact with other. I loved the color board and the mirrors

It doesn’t take long to walk through and it’s open later than most active experiences around DC. After a day of museum visiting, this was a fun evening experience.

Waaayyyy OVERPRICED! IF you can get a deal for say, $5 per person, it’s totally worth it. Some good photo ops and a few interactive exhibits. Took 30-45 min to do it all.

My fiancé and I had an amazing time! The staff was SO friendly and welcoming. Our very first visit to a museum like this one and I was 100% pleased. There were a lot of children and families there but even just as an adult couple, we had a really amazing time. They even have a complimentary coat rack and locker for valuables, which was so convenient and helpful! I would 100% recommend The Museum of Illusions!!
The only thing I would consider a “negative” about my experience is that it was a bit smaller than I had anticipated, but it was still packed with such cool things and fun photo ops!!

What a cool experience!
The staff was really helpful, especially at the exhibits where you definitely need a photo!
The exhibits were interesting, and some were challenging, but there was always an "out" to help with solutions if you needed it.
Heed the motion sensitivity warnings on the "bridge through a tunnel" exhibit, but if you can try it, YOU REALLY SHOULD! IT WAS CRAZY!
Second favorite, the "big chair" exhibit!
