From either Ogilvie or Union Station a quick walk to the water taxi stand and you jump on the boat and head over to Navy Pier. Takes about 15-20 minutes and gives you a great architectural tour without paying the prices those tours charge (granted...More

I have ridden the Chicago water taxi for eight years. All I can really say is that it varies on a number of conditions such as weather and the crowd itself. It is really neat to see the city from the boat as you go...More

This has become a favorite way to get from downtown to Chinatown for lunch and then either walk back or catch the CTA. We have also used the Chicago Water Taxi for a return trip. It is a pleasant ride and very enjoyable.

We used this to get from Shedd Aquarium to Navy Pier to meet friends and it was a cool way to get around and see the skyline from the water.

With a day pass at $ 10.00 we found the Water Taxi to be much better deal than going on one of the much more expensive river cruises. Wonderful views along the Chicago river! The boats are unsually uncrowded, you can hop on and hop...More

I caught the taxi at the Field museum back to Navy Pier. A really worthwhile 10 dollar trip. Journey takes about 15 minutes but great views of the skyline and Buckingham fountain. Very enjoyable.

Took a quick ride from wacker drive to Navy Pier. Water was beautiful and the price is economical. Wish the drop off was a little closer to the entrance of the pier.

How can you complain? Great service, great price. Always on time and super polite. There is nothing fancy about a water taxi, but it gets the job done right! Anytime I am here always a must!

We got a day pass for $10 each and went down to Chinatown then back to near the Apple store then back to the nearest point to our hotel. Boats were frequent and had plenty of space.

You can take this from shedd aquarium to Navy pier or Michigan Avenue for shopping. What a great way to see the city from the water. Prices are pretty reasonable, and they are on time.

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.
