People usually spend around an hour (~60 min) walking around on their own or with the audio guide, this can however depend on people's interest. Our audio guide is very detailed and takes around 40 min to do and is included in the Self-guided (Basic) option. We also have a couple of videos in the exhibiition which we recommend to out guest to watch while they are visitng. These videos includes good information regarding the geothermal industry in Iceland. Those videos take around 15 min. We also have information on our wall displays and interactives which offers some extra information regarding Geothermal energy in Iceland. Our guides are also always on hand should there be any questions or if something is not understandable. We do hope you can visit us soon! No charge for self guided. Also no need for the guided tour.

Hi max! Unfortunately there are no public transport to us. Although Reykjavík Excursions offers a tour with them that stops by here on its way to Krýsuvík, Gunnuhver and the blue lagoon. You can check our webiste geothermalexhibition as well as theirs for more information. If that doesn't interest you, you can also check out the other travel agencies tat includes a stop here in their tours. Dear Jerry, Yes we do offer guided tour every hour from 11 to 15, you don't need a reservation. 11:15, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00. But if you want to be here before 11:15 we have some fixed group in the mornings that come here between 9 and 10 so if you arrive then we offer you to join those tours and if there are any other booked tours during the day we offer people as well to join them if they want. Hi Bella, Thank you for contacting us. Both a taxi and a car rental would be options. Also taking the tour with one of the bus companies like Sterna.
