Although we had to wait couple of days in Stø for better weather conditions we were constantly updated about the weather and current situation. In the safari the guides were friendly and super informative about the whales, birds and the surrounding area. We saw sperm whales, orcas and minke whales. The safari was definitely a highlight of our entire trip. Only downside was my sea sickness, but that was totally my own fault for not taking the sea sickness tablets the guides offered me earlier. Totally recommend this for anyone that is anywhere near Stø. ✌️✌️

Absolutly great experience. The whole crew was very friendly, explaining interesting topics about the whales, birds and regarding the trip as such. They always was available for questions and did all possible to please everybody on board. Thanks again to the whole crew and very specially to Hannalena for an unforgettable trip for all of us an specially for our son Marius. We was lucky and saw 6 sperm whales (the first sperm whale which was seen this summer as was informed about afterwards). It was an very exciting experience and we can absolutly confirm the words already writen here, "a dream came reality for us". For us every cent and the time on sea was worth it. Thank you for an unforgettable day in open sea in artic surroundings. Ah, nearly forgot to mention the extraordinary fishsoup...........

Really recommend this whale tour! We were really excited to see some whales and they did not disappoint us. We saw two-three sperm whales and eagles up close, and the crew took the time so we could really enjoy the view! The guides and fish soup were also amazing!

Great trip and super experience. We knew in advance that the trip out was long and in open sea in an artic climate, something to keep in mind when bringing cloths. This day there was hardly any wind and the voyage pleasant, which was very fortunate. After some hours driving, we were met by the most majestic view of all times, the sperm whale! We were lucky enough to see two of them, and several dives, which was absolutely breath taking. Further, they took us to a place were pilot whales had been observed, and we got to see a herd of them, which was great. The guide was very nice and had lots of knowledge which she shared along the way. In addition to the whales, we also observed many birds, amongst them the white-tailed eagle and puffins. We also got a good glance at a seal resting on the rocks. The whale watching appears to be very much in line with good animal welfare, were the focus is a good experience without stressing or putting pressure on the animals. I can highly recommand this trip with great people that will take you out for a journey you will not forget.

We booked a tour with arctic whale safari in Stö. Took the extra time to travel up north and stayed in Nyksund. The day before we got a SMS that the tour was cancelled due to bad weather, which made us a bit disappointed. They gave us the choice to cancel or to rebook the next day. Luckily, we rebooked. The guide Hanna-Lena was very knowledgeable and engaged. She gave us an insight into the life and habits of the whales. During the trip we had an encounter with a pod of orcas, and at several timed they were just meters from the boat. It was an amazing experience. There were Sperm whales in the area, and them blowing water could be seen at distance. After this they take long and deep dives, and unfortunately we did not get closer. On the way back we saw a lot of Pilot whales. As an extra we passed a colony of Atlantic Puffins. A truly memorable day at sea, and worth al the hassle with travelling and uncertainty.
