I've been shopping at the DFM for years, they have great prices and service and I enjoy trying new fruit and vegetables when I shop! I do miss the hot bar...Thank you for all you do, it's always a great experience at this Atlanta Staple!

2/28/2024 Disabled individual who travels with licensed service animal. Upon attempting to enter the DeKalb Farmers Market, I was stopped by an armed security officer who disallowed my access to the store. He legally asked if my service animal was trained for a disability? Which I answered yes. He then asked what disability, which I again answered. All that is expected, what happened next was not. I then attempted to enter the store again and the officer placed his hand on the butt if his weapon and proceeded to spend the next few minutes berating me, telling me that my dog was not a service animal, that the lead had to be loose in order to be a trained dog, he finally agreed to allow me entry but let me go in by saying quote" you can go in, But, you can bet I will be following you". 1. I very clearly felt threatened by the security officer. 2. I very clearly felt discriminated against. 3. I called and spoke with management today, she said no dogs allowed, would not listen to the praise or the concerns and then terminated the call. 4. 1 don't believe the Blazer's would want this situation to continue.

This is a full time farmers market with any food you can think of. We spent 2 hours browsing. Great prices. Huge crowds. We had a3 hour drive home so I couldn't get meat or frozen but skip the grocery and go here. Fresh meats and fish, huge bakery, fresh vegetables. Anything you eat! However this is not a market made of local farmers. It is a huge grocery store.

My wife and I were patrons of this market when it first started off Medlock Rd. We enjoyed shopping there and while we lived in Decatur and Stone Mountain, we witnessed its growth.
We were also educated as to Robert Blazer's forum and training scams that kept people moving through new areas and him being reimbursed by government programs. Bilk, Bilk, Bilk.
The market is still milking the Covid wagon. The market is in decline and it is understaffed. The selections are nothing like they used to be and Blazer's one world crap continues.
The bakery section is decent, again, if someone can speak English and package cake properly. Wrapping iced slices in paper and then putting them with 4 others in a box means, you have to eat the paper to get the icing for your cake. Having the packager drop the cake box upside down on the counter was special.
IMHO, it is not worth the trip down Ponce de Leon. It would be nice if Blazer hired a few folks that can speak English. Oh, don't forget to get a copy of Blazer's BS books.

If you love food and culture, you ought to see this amazing market. Bring a cooler. The people here are shopping for fresh food, some of it unusual, at good prices. Don't expect a yuppie Whole Foods experience.

I went grocery shopping with my mother who has a psychiatric disorder and has a trained service dog (not an emotional support). We entered the store and security personnel told us we were not allowed to take the dog inside. I mentioned it was a trained service dog. He aggressively started telling us that it was not a service dog, that he know what service dogs look like, and that this was not a service dog. He asked us to put the dog down because he wanted to assess if the dog was going to perform the task he commanded. I mentioned that the dog was trained to perform other tasks such as helping my mom gain awareness of anxiety attacks, not the task he arbitrarily decided the dog had to do. I mentioned that we had documentation for the dog (trainer's certificate of training, and psychiatric diagnosis). He did not want to see any documents and was very aggressively asking us to leave. My mom started shaking and she had to move outside. He proceeded to yell to me to read a piece of paper that he had in his pocket that described emotional support animals. He did not want to hear when I said it was a service animal not an emotional support pet. Needless to say that yelling at us in front of everyone, telling my mom that she did not have a disability, and denying us access to a store that offers public services is discriminatory. he harassed us and put us in a very difficult situation.

Recently I bought a pack of 25 lb Teff flour. I'm so disappointed that the Teff flour I bought is, looks like it got mixed with other ingredients. The smell, the texture, how it looks, how it tastes and so on... Everything of it is different. I'm even scared to bake and eat it. Because I'm not allowed to eat wheat and what if it us mixed up with wheat ingredients. I bought it $59.99 + tax. It is very irritating to spent $60+ for nothing.

My name is Dr. Aaron T. Moyana and I live in Birmingham, Alabama and have traveled to shop at the DeKalb store since the 70's. I am wondering if it is possible to expand to Alabama. I am a retired educational administrator, and we do have an extensive international community from all over the world and your products could be a hit here in Alabama. I live just off I-20 and it takes about 2 hours to Atlanta. Your expansion could involved ordering and distributing products to the selected location and reporting on a daily basis sol products and earned profits. The mayor of the city, Leeds, is my neighbor and could be intrumental in getting this done with little risk to your investment. I can be reached at: my e-mail and 205 337-2164. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
