Do you see yourself looking over the vast Serengeti plains, searching the horizon for a glimpse of a pride of Lions, or a Leopard lounging in the trees? Do you imagine yourself in India, riding an elephant through the high grass with your eyes peeled for the elusive Tiger? Have you ever thought how great it would be to hike through the rainforest, listening to the tropical birds, ever on the lookout for a Leopard or an Ocelot high in the canopy? Have you ever been to the zoo and wanted to be closer to the exotic cats; so close you could almost touch them? You don't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to make these dreams come true. The world's largest accredited big cat rescue facility is right here in Tampa, Florida at Big Cat Rescue.

A little hard to find and pricey but worth the effort and money. I learned more about cats in two hours than I have in a lifetime (I am 66). These folks are passionate and true to their cause. I hope they can keep this...More

All I can say is YOU HAVE TO HAVE RESERVATIONS!!!!! Don't waste a trip like we did. The Manager is not a people person at all and doesn't feel for you when you fly from another state and then drive 45 minutes to go there...More

I took several guided tours of Big Cat Rescue and enjoyed every moment! These are rescued cats that mostly come from abused and exploited situations. Their enclosures are spacious with trees, perches and dens. You have to pre-book your tours online, and they are mostly...More

The guided tour is with an informative volunteer complimented with audio device telling each cat’s story. The organization is doing a fantastic job caring for unwanted, often severely neglected big cats, giving them a forever home. They rely on support from the public to keep...More
