This was our second year in a row purchasing the Ocala National Forest Recreation Area Pass annual passes for the 3 of us. The annual pass includes admission to Salt Springs, Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs and Silver Glen Springs. These springs are located in the...More
Awesome springs with very clear water. The swimming area is bigger than some of the other springs I’ve been to in Florida. The snorkeling is great too. Everyone brings their big floats. There are a bunch of picnic tables. We got there right when they...More
We were in saint Augustine for a week and this spring was about an hour away so we devoted an afternoon to it. I wish we had known some things ahead of time, but I guess we just didn’t research well enough. There is a...More
My husband and I recently heard about SGS.
As we researched and found photos of the Springs, we thought - WOW! How could we have missed this gem?
Since Monday’s are our day off we decided to take the drive from the Daytona area and...More
The park was packed. Lots of boats, campers, and families picnicking. The water was clear and the spring is beautiful. Difficult to enjoy when it’s packed. Some floats are far too big for the space. The park should have a size limit.
This is my favorite springs of the many I have visited in the state. The water temperature is 72 degrees all year long just like all springs in Florida. If your feet are tender, I would recommend shoes you can wear in the water as...More
My wife and I decided to try out Silver Glen after a mutual friend had suggested it to us. The beautiful blue water was amazing. We went on a Monday and did not find the location overly crowded. I could see it being a bit...More

We purchased our passes at Salt Springs but you can probably also purchase them at Silver Glen, Juniper or Alexander Springs. We paid $60 per person for the passes last year right before they raised the price I think but am not positive to $65. The passes are good from Jan 1- Dec 31. They do not prorate. The passes work for those 4 springs plus two lakes in the Ocala National Forest. Don’t confuse this pass with the Florida State Park pass. They are two completely different passes.
