- Travis ECochrane, Canada26 contributionsIncredibleAbsolutely incredible. We did all 4 parks (Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom), and Typhoon Lagoon. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. Parks are clean a tidy. Scenery and rides are amazing. It's an immersive experience. One thing I noticed is Disney's ability to move people into the park. The lines to get in might be huge but it doesn't take much time to get in. The streets / walkways are nice and wide. Even when the park was crowded we rarely felt it. Easy to walk around people and maneuver through the crowd. The only negative thing is the quality of the quick service food. The quick service food at Universal is far, far better than Disney.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 November 2023
- Maria GChicago, Illinois22 contributionsHats off to DisneyWe have been coming annually over the past 2 decades because we like it. The parks are very clean and well staffed with friendly and helpful employees. The same goes for the resorts and villas which are themed and adds to the “magic” vacation experience. The rides are fun and imaginative, the musicals very good too, like Frozen/ Lion King. I’ve used free bus, rail, and boat transportation to get around Disney area from the resort, it works well, takes longer than driving but you save money. I come to town prepared with a plan of our time for the parks to avoid frustration, I recommend to do your homework. The resorts are themed and provide daily activities too. Sometimes we split a “park day” in two with a rest back at the room or pool if staying really close to one of the parks.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 December 2023

Stayed away from spending crazy money making dinner and lunch reservations and just did quik service. Food was stellar almost everywhere we tried.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 December 2023
- Patrick G2 contributionsMagical world of DisneyThe place where dreams come true. From entering the park to leaving it felt like you were in the magical world of Disney. We entered the park at opening and left at closing clocking up some serious step counts when we were there. The food is pricey but you expect that. The usual tat was brought from the gift shops. The family loved it and created those special family moments that will last a lifetime.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 March 2024

Let me start by saying we visited Disney World 5 years ago with my older daughter and it was amazing. We visited the end of January and the crowds were very small it was truly an awesome experience.
We decided to take my youngest to visit for her 5th Birthday. Boy were we shocked by how much this place has changed.
First of all the crowds! It was so crowded! And this is a “low time for crowds”. If you didn’t have a Fastpass you were
Waiting forever to ride even Small World. Every day by lunch my 5 year old would just beg to go back to the hotel.
The amount of scooters is insane and so many people on them behave with no regard for others or children.
My children were nearly run over multiple times by people on scooter plowing thru crowds!!!!
The prices! Unreal even a bottle of water is expensive. We knew this and brought in our own. But the constant marketing and gift shops at every turn Is annoying.
Hollywood Studios was an utter disaster, between waking up before dawn to try and get to ride the new Star Wars ride to trying to navigate the park, which was overcrowded beyond belief was awful. Again left the park by lunch!
The constant ride breakdowns....Day 1 had a fast pass with my Daughter for Space Mountain, which broke down and our Fastpass was cancelled. Same day rode Peter Pan with my young daughter and ride stopped multiple times sending my child into hysterics. Pirates of the Caribbean stopped in the middle of the ride for a while. Several days later had fast passes for Everest, which also broke down and we couldn’t ride.
Tons of money and planning to ride very few rides and have a 5 year old who was terrified the rest of the week to ride anything because “it might stop”.
Never again! So sad that massive marketing and greed have taken over the “Magic” of Disney. I came home sad

I appreciate the time you took to share your review of your recent visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. It is our goal for every Guest who visits our Parks to leave with memories that will last a lifetime. I’m truly sorry to read of the concerns and disappointments you mentioned throughout your review. Safety is always our top priority, so we are closely monitoring Park attendance to ensure we maintain a safe environment for all of our Guests and Cast Members. That being said, we want everyone to be able to enjoy all that our Parks offer, and I truly apologize that this high attendance diminished your daughter's first visit with us.
While unexpected downtimes of our attractions can be cause for frustration, especially for those you have FastPass+ selections for, our Cast Members work diligently to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. Please know when this does occur, we will add an additional multi-experience FastPass+ option to your My Disney Experience account to be used either at that attraction at a different time or any other attraction in the Park.
I want to thank you again for sharing your honest and candid feedback. Rest assured, your feedback has been heard and has been shared with the appropriate teams. While I certainly understand the hesitation of returning, we sincerely hope for another opportunity to showcase the Disney magic you have come to expect in the near future.

Disney's Magic is gone, overcrowded, and the biggest vacation disappointment ever, read before going
Jan 2020 • Family
I had the best times at Disney as a child. We didn't have the money to go all the time but my grandparents lived in central FL so we would drive to the park and stay off-site, pack pb&J's and had a good time. You'd walk the whole park in a day and be able to ride most of the rides, watch a show or two, and meet some characters along the way. It was really great.
We just got back from a family vacation of 6 with my two children and grandparents and it was to date the most disappointing vacation I've ever had, and also the most expensive. Read everything because we planned extensively and booked 6 months in advance.
Unfortunately, my prior experience as a child is not possible anymore and here's why.
The crowds, lines, and fastpasses
Disney's popularity has exploded and if you look at the crowd sizes over the last 5 years it's growing exponentially. This has caused the fastpass plus to get on rides which I believe may have worked well at first but now is a complete disaster. This is now the ONLY WAY to ride anything without waiting for over an hour and you are only allowed 3 a day. You can sometimes get more after you use your 3 up but they're typically gone by then. You can also rope drop something, but you literally have to be standing there at the rope to get on because there will be hundreds of people behind you and if you're at the end of the crowd the line will be extra long because of everyone trying to get on at the same time, then you'll be waiting almost 2 hours. On our vacation we basically used our fastpasses and then argued on what to try to do in-between food reservations or the next fastpass because there's isn't enough time to do anything in the meantime. So you basically pay park admission to ride 3 or 4 rides, which in my opinion is completely outrageous. The most disappointing thing was telling my kids they couldn't ride anything else because we couldn't wait in a 65 minute line for small world or "insert ride here". The only time we really got to ride anything was the last hour in Hollywood where we skipped the light show and got on a couple rides within the last 45 minutes the park was open. Think about it , is waiting 45 to 60 minutes worth it to ride Peter Pan's flight or Aerials ride when you just dropped over a thousand a day?
The food was also a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend the dinning plan unless you are doing it to meet characters, which is what we did. Otherwise I would of been pissed I spent over 40 a plate for what I consider just slightly above cafeteria level food. It reminded me of ponderosa back in the 90s. The only good place to eat is the seafood place at the beach resort. The "snack credit" is also a huge rip off because something as small as a bottle of water counts.
The room we stayed at was also pretty rough. We stayed at art of animation and it hasn't been updated since it was built in the 80s.
Overall, your paying an extraordinary amount of money to ride 3 or 4 rides, fight an enormous crowd to the point where it's hard to walk and takes forever to get anywhere, and then eat average food at a highly inflated price.

Anthony, thank you for taking the time to share your honest review. It is understandably frustrating to share something so special with your loved ones, only to find it is not reflective of how you remember your past experiences to be. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, as we are constantly striving to create the most magical, memorable, and fun-filled adventures for each of our Guests.
We hope all who step through our magical gates, and onto Main Street, U.S.A., can leave their worries at the door, and enter into the worlds of “yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.” It is disheartening for me to learn this was not your experience, and I have a few tips I think might help you, should you choose to return in the future.
Since there are many attractions, shows, characters and activities to enjoy in our Theme Parks, our complimentary FastPass+ service gives Guests the opportunity to save some time they would have spent waiting. Even if you don't secure the attraction you were hoping for at first, we encourage you to keep on checking throughout the day. Plans are constantly changing, and you never know what might pop up!
Anthony, I hope you find this information to be helpful. We hope to welcome your family back for a much more enjoyable visit again soon – hopefully, one that sparks that Disney magic you have come to know and love over the years.

Arrived at 0800, have to be onsite to enter virtual queue for Rise of Resistance. Was full at 0802. In 2 minutes, the ride was full for the day. Utterly ridiculous!!!
I love reading the cheesy, canned Disney responses to people's 1 or 2 star reviews to "book Fastpass+ 30 days in advance". They leave out the part where the onsite guests booked all those up 60 days ago. Just another ruse they use to make you spend more money by staying onsite!
This place is so overcrowded, they don't even have characters walking around because they'll get mobbed or run over by a scooter. Again, another canned response "We encourage our Guests to use the My Disney Experience app to locate their favorite character". Again, leaving out the part that you'll have to stand in line for 90 min to see them.
Disney only caters to the rich and willing to spend big bucks. We asked a family who was placed in front of us in line how much they paid for VIP- "$60k" for a family of 4 for 7 days.
No ma'am would I ever pay that much for such an overrated experience.

I’ve gone to Disney myself over 10 times. My wife and I got engaged and had our honeymoon there as well. We went this year with a small group and had every intention of investing in DVC during our visit. Unfortunately, the state of park crowding caused us to reevaluate if Disney is really worth it anymore. Disney’s popularity has skyrocketed which has drawn greater crowds to Disney World which is both good and bad. The result is skyrocketing prices in an effort to control the crowds, but this has caused the “off” periods to become just as crowded as peak season (which is way too crowded). We booked fast passes exactly 60 days out and dining exactly 180 days out, so our trip was probably much smoother than most but it often wasn’t really “fun”. Even when trying to stick to our strict schedule, rides were breaking down left and right. Multiple times we would weave through the crowds to get to our ride, have it break while we’re in line, then weave through more crowds to get to another ride on the other side of the park so we’d still be able to ride something before our dining reservation. We even tried rope dropping (which means to arrive at the park before opening) and we were only able to make it on a single ride before all the good ones were at a 2+ hour wait times.
If waiting in lines for hours, jogging between rides, waiting until 9:40 for your 9:00 reservation, and daydreaming about getting back to your resort so you don’t feel like herded cattle anymore sounds like fun to you, then by all means go. If not, then until Disney figures this out I recommend using your vacation money on something else.

As a long-time fan of Walt Disney World Resort, I'm so sorry to hear your most recent visit wasn't as magical as you've come to expect. Particularly during our more popular holiday weekends, I absolutely understand how this could be frustrating and we appreciate you sharing this feedback with us. While our attractions may become temporarily unavailable for a number of reasons, I was to assure you that safety is always our top priority and our Cast Members work hard to get you on your way as soon as possible.
Again, I'd like to thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We're always striving to improve and feedback such as this is crucial to that mission. We look forward to giving you a more magical experience soon.

We were at Disney World on February 20 2020.What a joke. 130 dollars for tickets and all coasters were broken. Pirates of the Caribbean was closed all day. Splash mountain was closed for the season even though park was jammed Thunder mountain had problems with getting people through line. This park has not been updated in 20 to40 years it’s the same talking bears and presidents. Food lines took 20 minutes to get through Come on big Bob what are you doing hear. You keep raising prices for a couple parades and 40 year old rides Wake up people your being played as fools If you get 8 rides on in a day your lucky that’s about 15 dollars a ride for 40 year old rides Go head people keep going like fools but remember it’s the happiest place on earth. But only for Disney stock holders

Wow. Had it not been for the fact that my granddaughter is only five once and fully believes in princesses, we definitely would have waited.
It was hot and muggy as expected, however the workers seemed to delight in ordering us to pull our masks up over our noses (not an issue) but while you’re eating and drinking in between bites and sips. Completely ridiculous. Speaking of workers, there was a distinct difference in the Disney customer service of now and the once pleasant and happy Disney characters of long ago. Instead, the majority were condescending, unfriendly, and downright rude. One worker was actually mean - telling my niece to put a different mask on (she had a handkerchief type) and when she said that she would, he responded with a resounding “NOW”! That particular show actually split our family group of 8 up to make sure that there were seats in between every group of three or four even though we had the entire row to ourselves with no one in front of us or no one behind us. Unbelievable. No one seem to care whether or not you were having a good time or not, the only thing they cared about was to make sure that half your face was completely covered in the blistering heat at all times. Even while eating and drinking. I suspect they may even come up with a mask that has a hole in it so that you’re not able to take it off when taking a sip or a bite. The lines were crazy- this is probably because even though where there was well over 6 feet in between front and back seats they would only put one group into an entire ride. Perhaps they couldn’t do the math and realize it was possible to have a group in front, leave a couple of rows empty and then have a group of people in the back. Nope. They would rather see people stand in line an extra 45 minutes. No characters walking around, no parades, and no fireworks. Many restaurants are closed, many paths blocked (make sure you have extra good walking shoes). Despite half of the experience being gone, the tickets are still a full price, whopping $150 a person. The crowning moment however was their refusal to release to my daughter the Frozen ride photo of her and my granddaughter. Apparently two people in our party had taken their masks off momentarily, thinking that because we were not in public nor around any other people it would be a good opportunity to breathe. Well at least now we know why they are only putting a few people in the rides.

The family were so looking forward to our trip to Disneyworld Florida. I had scrimped, and saved for a year for us to go. On arriving at the Magic Kingdom it was clear that there were far too many people for the park to handle. We were not staying at one of the "very over priced" Disney hotels, and found straight away that this was a major issue. As an example, we waited in line on a very hot day for 3hrs 18mins to go on Slash Mountain, with the Disney Hotel guests (DHG) flooding past us. On quizzing the turnstile operator the count was 100 DHG's to 5 or 6 from the regular line. There were no places to get drinks or snacks while in the queue, which was a distressing experience. The many stores were so busy that you had to wait behind 4 or 5 deep of people to get at anything. On each day we were at the resort, there were mechanical issues with the rides. I've been several times before, and had always found the whole park to be a slick, clean, friendly place... BUT NOT THIS TIME ! The management need to visit the local Universal park setup to see how it's done. If we go back to Orlando, we would give Disney a miss on present performance. What a shame, as we have always been BIG Disney fans.

Have just returned from WDW, have been going most years since 2003 but this is my last visit. Spent far too long in queues for rides (didn't stay at Disney so fast passes hard to obtain). Food ridiculously expensive and poor choice (don't believe the hype that they cater well for vegans, they don't. Vendor couldn't even advise whether ice-cream was dairy-free as was the merchandise $29 for a bubble machine which were being sold ahead of the parade at Magic Kingdom (clever ploy) 4 sellers passed us before the parade. WDW has out grown itself and appears to be all about making money and not making it the magic place for kids/adults to enjoy
In 4 park visits we must have spent the equivalent of 1 full day in queues. Not sure what Mr Disney would make of the direction his company is taking! Will not recommend to anyone unless they do not mind paying large amounts of money to join a queue

I’m truly sorry to hear that you experienced such frustrations during your recent visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Using the complimentary Disney FastPass+ service allows our Guests the peace of mind to know that they’ll spend less time waiting for those attractions and can make better use of their time during the day. I'm sorry to hear you weren't able to secure times for all of your top picks, but please know our Fastpass+ availability is always changing. Since Guests change their plans, we encourage you to continue to check even right up until the last minute – you never know what may be available.
While I understand your hesitation in returning, I hope in time you will reconsider... and please know our Guest Relation Cast Members are always there to assist you. Thank you for sharing your experience. I want to assure you that we heard and appreciate your feedback.

Plain and simple - don’t waste your time or money visiting until the mask restrictions are raised and the parks and resorts go back to normal operating levels.
We have been annual pass holders for years and DVC members for 15+ years. Never have I been so miserable when visiting WDW. Rides not open, animatronics not working, restaurants and stores closed, 90% of cast members rude/unfriendly, insane mask restrictions, etc. Plus, if your mask falls a little below your nose, a cast member jumps out of nowhere telling you to put it back on (with an attitude).
You spend thousands of dollars between hotel rooms, park tickets, airfare, food, etc. to visit. It shouldn’t feel like a chore to visit when you spend that much money. Visiting WDW right now feels like a chore. This isn’t the happiest place on earth. Save yourself money and time and reconsider your trip to WDW in 2020.

Just got home after 4 days in WDW with my wife. We are very experienced WDW visitors and were aware of the fact that we would need to make some concessions to the norms. We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas and over all it was nice, the room was clean and a comfortable place to exist at the end of the day. We visited three parks (EP, HS, &AK)on three different days. Each and every single day was an experience in misery and regret. With the parks running at a limited capacity the crowds were still massive. Experienced visitors expect this on a normal day but the real problem was the lack of everything in the parks. Theres no shows, entertainers, parades, characters, or really anything that isn't a ride, food, or gift shop. This means everyone in the park is trying to get on the same three rides or buy the same food at the same time. To compound the problem all the rides are also running at a reduced capacity. The result was a 1.5 - 2.5 hour wait for EVERYTHING! If we weren't waiting in a ridiculously long line we were trying to buy food or a drink or just sit down to get off our feet. Thanks to their overly cautious precautions they've taken away many benches, tables, and dining areas which means we just had to plop our butts on the ground. They even put "unavailable" stickers on the rocks to stop you from sitting on them. We had restaurant reservations for all but two meals while we were there, and this is the first time I ever thought the food was crap. We didn't eat one single good meal for two days. on the third day we asked one restaurant hostess if we would be able to get on a list for dining and we were very rudely told "Check the app, I can't help you". I was so pissed we bailed out and found good food off Disney property. Overall the atmosphere was depressing and the cast members were miserable and rude. Right now I would not recommend WDW to anyone. It's a very small fraction of the fun with same full price. This trip left me with such a bad taste I'm not sure if I'll ever go back.

I would be interested in hearing if anyone ever addressed these issues. Management on site said they would have engineering take a look but that doesn't necessarily mean anything was done. We will never return to the Beach Resort and I'm sure this room has alienated many other guests. Come on, Disney, take a little pride in your "deluxe" resort.

With new lightning lanes and restrictions to buy outside the US. Can someone in the US use my account to purchase them? Once bought, can I edit them from my country?

Hi
I'm planning a trip for the kids (11-15 years) for next year.
I have looked at the options and there a bewildering array of ticket types and I don't want to learn it the hard way.
1. Can someone write a small guide about what tickets to get and how to get the most out of your trip?
2. What time in April 2025 should be less busy?
Many thanks
