    Interesting
This is a really interesting place. The docents were knowledgeable and explained a lot about the individual turtles. The number of turtles there is totally dependent on what has happened lately, so it could be a lot (we saw 25) or very few. It is free but it’s a hard sell to donate.

    Amazing turtle center
Highly recommended- very informative place to visit to learn about sea turtles and the incredible conservation work taking place. The public tour is worth the extra time and fee, the guides are excellent and happy to answer questions whilst explaining how the center functions and the individual turtles on site at the time. Top tip- leave plenty of time for getting through local traffic and to park on site.
Hello! Thank you for your excellent review. We appreciate your support. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your tour and found your tour guides to be helpful and knowledgeable. We hope you will visit us again. - Lisa

Fabulous facility for a family visit!
We loved our experience at the center today! What a wonderful thing they are doing by helping rehabilitate all of those sea turtles. The kids loved seeing the loggerhead and green turtles, as well as one hawksbill. Very informative and even had visitors watch the shark and fish feeding sessions. Extremely clean facility, snack bar, and lovely gift shop. Highly recommend a visit for anyone in the area!
Good morning. Thank you for your awesome review! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. We pride ourselves in providing a great guest experience and clean campus. I'm glad we delivered! We look forward to seeing you again in the future. - Michael

Loved this place. Its free but please leave a donation! Very organized and well kept. Everyone was nice and the turtles were adorable. It can be tough to park though…. Also, don’t forget to visit the beautiful beach just behind the building

Florida Marine conservation at its finest!
I'm from a different state and this was an absolute gem to visit that easily earns its well-deserved five-star rating. This center is a haven for sea turtles and a hub of education and conservation efforts. The exhibits and interactive displays offer an immersive and enlightening experience, allowing visitors of ALL ages to learn about the importance of marine conservation. From the rehab center that cares for sick and injured sea turtles to the informative guided tours, spectacular aquariums filled with marine life of every kind...every aspect of this Center including its staff showcases a deep respect for these magnificent animals and their fragile ecosystems. The visit here was not only educational but also heartwarming, as you witness the incredible work being done to protect and restore our ocean's ecosystems. This is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression and fosters a greater understanding and appreciation for the wonders of marine life. Donations made this center possible so please donate generously.

    Inspiring and Educational Experience
We drove out of our way to visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center--so worth the trip! The volunteers and staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Where else can you visit actual sea turtle patients up close? Our time here was inspiring and informative. We will definitely be back. This is definitely a MUST visit place.

Good chance you ll see a turtle laying eggs!!
This program is so well run: the volunteers work together and monitor the beach after dark looking for turtles actively laying eggs, while guests are learning about turtles from other staff. We got the call 30 min into the program. Really amazing experience watching the female turtle for over an hour that night! Once in a lifetime experience.

Excellent and educational experience at the Logghead Marinelife Center in Juno
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center was such an amazing place to visit, I am very glad that we stopped here along our roadtrip. All the volunteers were very welcoming and knowledgeable. There was a large marine turtle undergoing a procedure in the veterinary area during our visit, and one of the volunteers was explaining the procedure and answered any questions that visitors had. We then got to walk around the tanks where marine turtles of various ages were undergoing various types of rehabilitation. If you are looking for souvenirs, the gift shop is also incredible and was well stocked with a variety of items for everyone on your list. I would highly recommend this Marine Life Center to anyone who is considering visiting, as a family, individual or couple - if you have any interest in marine life or conservation, it's a must.
Hi there. Wow, thank you for your awesome 5-star review! I'm so glad to hear that we added some fun to your road trip and that our Team was welcoming and provided some good information. It sounds like you got to experience some great things happening around campus as well. We hope to see you again soon. - Michael

Nighttime turtle nesting walk: An incredible opportunity!
The nighttime turtle walk was incredible! We started the evening with a presentation from volunteers Denisse and Caroline where they explained how the program would work, expectations, and began an overview of the nesting process. The scout came to get us around 9:45PM and our group proceeded down to the beach. We were able to watch the turtle for over an hour just a few feet from her nest as she laid over 100 eggs. The Loggerhead Marinelife staff did a great job of explaining what was happening and ensuring that we were not disturbing the turtle. After about 90 minutes on the beach, we watched as the turtle made her way back to the ocean. There was a thunderstorm out in the distance, so watching this amazing turtle enter back into the water over a sky continuously lit up by lightning was an incredible sight. We would definitely recommend and will add other programs from Loggerhead to our bucket list!

If you are visiting the Treasure Coast of Florida, or even live in the area and haven't done so, you must do yourself a favor and visit the Loggerhead MarineLife Center.... you won't be disappointed. This is an amazing place to get insight into the life cycle of all sea turtles and see the rehab efforts of injured ones. The Center is free, though a donation is recommended, but my wife and I took the guided tour ($20 each) and sure glad we did. The guide (Melissa) was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in all aspects of the various sea turtles and it made the day even more special. My wife has loved sea turtles for years and we both now have a deeper appreciation for these loving creatures. I can definitely say we will be making return visits to the Loggerhead MarineLife Center.

We paid for the hour-long tour + made (unnecessary but cost-free) reservations for the 1:30pm feedings at the tanks (friends told us not to miss that). Howard was our tour guide and he was terrific, answering questions along the way. It's obvious that he loves volunteering that and his enthusiasm and care came through.

The work this organization is doing is incredible; literally saving one turtle at a time, and being able to see them in their individual tanks up close drove home much of what we learned from Howard.

HIGHLY recommend a visit with or without kids! It's almost all outdoors (all covered) except for one activity space, which also has a few more tanks with seahorses and jellyfish.

Just outside of the turtle season, so not many rescue turtles being looked after but still very much worth the visit. Entrance fee is all handled by donation, however much you would like to give.
A last called Pam explained to my wife and I the different types of turtle in the sea surrounding Florida.
Very useful

Check website to see if there are any turtles on site before you go. Otherwise this can be a short trip < 1 hour. Still we enjoyed learning about turtles. Looking at exhibits and seeing the fish/sharks in aquarium tank. Have some educational exhibits for smaller kids. This can even be a rainy day activity with over hangs over exhibits. Very nice gift shop. Suggested donation is $10/person but not required.

Visited with my wife and kids age 12 to 20. We all had a great time. We learned alot about the turtles and were happy to visit following completion of the major building additions. The staff was motivated and helpful. New high tech additions are fun. The movie was not running during our visit. It depends on how many people sign up in advance to see the film. It is located close to the beautiful Juno beaches and pier (entrance fee $1 for the pier). We did not pay a fee to enter the marine life center but donations are highly recommended given the incredible work they do.

First and foremost: this place is free to get in to and see everything, however, there are voluntary donations at the front desk when you walk in to the lobby.

We went on a Sunday afternoon and spent about 4 hours checking out the turtles, hearing their stories, and talking with the staff. This is an awesome place to spend a few hours to a half a day IF you are in to animals and some learning; it will be what you make it. There are a good bit of displays that have a lot of cool information mostly on turtles and some of the other marine life.

Tips;
- Listen to the staff, they're personable and they have good stories and information on the animal residents
- If you want to watch the free movie, make sure to get on the list at the lobby front desk when you walk in to the place.
- After your trip to Loggerhead Marinelife Center, look up the FPL Manatee Lagoon. It's relatively close by and sometimes (depending on the time of year), you can see a bunch of Manatee (Sea Potatos).

The loggerhead marine center is both fun and educational, even for us adults! We enjoyed seeing the exhibits, the turtle hospital, and the surgery area while we visited. Take time to see the "plastics" art piece as well, it is eye-opening. Two of the turtles were to be released back into the water during our visit, but we were unable to see the event. If you have the option, make sure to arrive in plenty of time (hours? ahead of release time) to make sure you can get a parking spot. It is apparently well attended. The center does not charge for admission, but relies on donations. Please be generous when visiting to help where you can. The gift shop is also a great place to support their efforts.

Hey there! Thank you for your positive review! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit with us. I'm sorry you were not able to see the release. This was an amazing experience. The kids (8) & (5) joined the Junior Research lab. The class was small and very educational. Lots of fun!! The kids got to experience what the researchers do when they find a turtle nest.
We got to observe baby turtles (hatchlings) that had been rescued immediately after the class.
The interactive aquarium wall was fun for kids to see their drawing come to life. It was thunderstorming so we could not get close to tanks, but could still see them from a distance.
The gift shop had a great collection of souvenirs.
All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Tip: call ahead to see how many turtles are there before taking a trip.

LMC staff and volunteers are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming — they made the experience educational, engaging, and fun. Obviously, the mama loggerhead turtle was the star of the evening — it was heartwarming and wholesome to witness her return to the same beach where she was born to lay her eggs; lovingly and skillfully erase all evidence of her nest once she was done, covering it up with sand; and finally make her way back home to the sea. I’ll definitely be back — turtle two stepping (IYKYK) at another LMC Guided Turtle Walk — you can count on it!
