With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.

Everything you could want in a beach setting: nearby parking ($3.00 per hour), cabana rentals, a gift shop and convenience store/sandwich shop, water slides and child activities (extra cost), spacious and plentiful restrooms all located at the foot of the Clearwater Pier.

I like the fact that this beach has a policy where it's a dry beach. This means that there is a no alcohol on the beach, which keeps it nice Not all beaches have that.

I'm not giving it a 5 because I didn't get to see it in it's former and soon to be glory. Irma threw a lot of sea grass debris on what is probably normally white sugar beaches. Don't let it deter you, it won't take...More

My kids and I loved Clearwater Beach. The water was not "clear" but it was fun swimming in the wavy ocean.

What a beautiful sandy beach. It is not crowded off season and the water is pretty warm even in October. You’ll always have a nice breeze. You may want to bring an umbrella during the hot season ( June- October). The family will love jumping...More

Hardly any shells on this side since the water is very calm. Go to Eastern side beaches for shells.
