If you live in Delaware like I do you then you already know how important the DuPont family was to this area. This was one of their estates and one of several they eventually donated to the public as a museum. It’s worthwhile to visit...More
This 77 room mansion build by Alfred I. du Pont for his wife, showcases the majesty of a by-gone era. There is the largest formal French gardens in the US, but it was a rainy day and we all stayed inside. I would love to...More
All is in order and top-notch. Visitor Center has a fabulously displayed time line. Even the shuttle buses are plush and high-end! Great tour with an opportunity to see rooms not typically interpreted, nor seen in mansion tours. The garden is stunning and maintained to...More

The tours are included in the price and if you would like to take the Garden tour on the shuttle too, it’s also included. Everyone MUST take their shuttles inside the property and out too. I would plan on at least 2-3... More
The tours are included in the price and if you would like to take the Garden tour on the shuttle too, it’s also included. Everyone MUST take their shuttles inside the property and out too. I would plan on at least 2-3 hours especially if the weather is good. Hope that this was helpful.
