Anna specializes in sustainable vineyards so we let her set the itinerary. She took us first to Whetstone and had several great wines particularly their Pinot Noir. Then we next went to Tres Sabores where we tasted 5 wines. The standouts to me were the Rose and their Petite Sirah. Anna fixed an awesome picnic lunch and ate under a grove of olive trees. Tres Sabores is a little off the beaten path so I doubt we would have found it without her taking us there. We ended up last at Frog's Leap which is a beautiful property. Great wines, a fabulous tasting room/porch and an awesome flower and vegetable garden. We even made a small detour at the end of the day to swing by Crocker and Starr(a personal favorite) tp pick up a couple of bottles of their Cab Franc. A better day could not be had.

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our day with Anna. She took so much care in finding out our favorite wines in advance, and arranging our private wine tastings and tours. We really learned a lot about wine and loved learning the history of the vineyards.

We had a perfect day with Anna. She contacted us well before the tour to find out our wine preferences and went out of her way to make sure she found the right spots for us. We mainly wanted to visit organic and biodynamic vineyards. Anna took us to 3 small production vineyards that all provided a personal tour, explanation of their winemaking process and of course wine tasting. The wines were excellent. Anna also provides a delicious gourmet lunch. She is personable and knowledgable. After your tour she sends photos in order for you to remember your tour. What a nice touch. The price may seem a bit high but it was well worth it.

We were beyond impressed with Anna at Obsidian Wine Tours during our recent visit to the Napa Valley. What a dream of a day! It was absolutely magical visiting the small, intimate and very special wineries that Anna has clearly put so much research into. Driving along the Silverado Trail discussing biodynamic farming with Anna gave us so much insight into where our wines were coming from, the love and attention being put into their production, and the exciting future of this kind of wine making. Anna was incredibly professional and accommodating to all the members of our group and created a tour so uniquely suited to our tastes and desires, we couldn't have asked for anything more... but more there was! She packed a delectable picnic lunch with beautiful silver service and lace napkins which we ate on the veranda of one of a beautiful winery looking out over the Napa Valley. It was absolutely dreamy. Top that with a gorgeous dessert which was quickly devoured by everyone--we were smitten! Highly recommended to anybody looking to get away from the commercial "Napa Experience" and thoughtful people who really want to connect with the soil, the farmers, the heart and soul of artisan winemaking in the Napa Valley. Our day with Anna was absolutely unforgettable!

Anna finds small vineyards dedicated to best practice farming. We had wonderful 1 to 1 tastings with experts, usually the owner or winemaker, with no more than 4 other guests. In addition, the presentations were unrushed with plenty of time for full open ended discussion. A totally different experience from the "commercial" wine tastings. She also provides a 1st class lunch! If an unforeseen problem occurs, she is quick to address the issue. Highly recommended.
