About
Watch as we dip crisp apples in thick, bubbling caramel, made right from scratch, using a traditional copper kettle. Smile as we roll them in a rainbow of tasty toppings to complete your old fashioned treat. Linger a while longer and learn how fudge is made as we fashion a creamy loaf on a traditional marble slab, the old fashioned way, right before your eyes. And of course, everyone gets a free sample! See how we make our famous crunchy Peanut Brittle and our popular/unique Cashew-Almond-Coconut Brittle, along with Rocky Pop (caramel corn.) You'll also love watching us dip our unbelievably large stemmed strawberries in our milk, dark, or white chocolate. Our farm-fresh strawberries are specially grown on the Monterey coast for their full flavor and size.

After Lunch Chocolate
May 2019 • Couples
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is our go to place for chocolate in Old Sacramento. This time it was dark chocolate covered almond turtles. Other time it is malt balls or fudge or something else from their vast selection. The people here are alway quick, friendly, helpful, and sometimes amused by our trying to decide what to buy. One of our favorite things to do is go upstairs for Mexican Food then stop here for after lunch Chocolate!

loved the apples!
Sep 2017
we devoured candy apples, caramel apples, wafers and truffles, covered in chocolate. Loved it all, fresh and smells like candy from the door entryway. Go!

They are a-ma-zing!

I could eat everything in this place and I am pretty picky so that's saying something! Let's just start with the caramel apples. They have a monster caramel apple that literally has everything on it. You want nuts? Yeah there's like four different kinds on there. And chocolate? Three different kinds! Plus marshmallow and m&m's lol! Also the peanut butter cups are flat out phenomenal! Puts Reece's to shame!

Always a family favorite

This small chain of candy stores is a must see every time we run across one. The chocolate is amazing, the smell alone is worth the visit. Fresh dipped candies and apples are our favorites.

Im not sure how it rated a spot in Trip Advisor, but there is a fresh chocolate shop in Old Sacramento. Nothing special to see here and definately not a destination, just a passing curiosity.

Chocolate - Enough Said
Mar 2015 • Couples
We had spent a couple of hours wandering around Old Sacramento and visiting the Railroad Museum, when I spotted the Chocolate Factory. The shop was filled with wonderful treats. I finally decided on three different truffles at $2.89 each and my husband chose chocolate peanut clusters. There was also a large selection of various candied and chocolate apples, fudge, and many types of chocolate candy.
