Fantastic
Oct 2018 • Couples
Our first visit to this winery as it was recommended by the folks at Auberge. They did not disappoint. Lucas who greeted us and provided insight into the property and family did a great job. He was very warm and engaging..... The property sits close to screaming eagle's so we know the type of soil they are working with. Kristof the winemaker was very busy as he was in the midst of picking season . The wines are big and bold which for us is a must. The full range of a bright cab .............. You will love it.......... If you are going to Napa and want an intimate wine tasting with a beautiful property , then you must visit Gargiulo.....

Wine & Guitars
Jun 2018
Wine & Guitars - What more could a man and musician want. Cool story behind this winery and the owners. We had a nice visit and tour and the property is unique. Wines are a little on the expense side and we didn't enjoy them enough to purchase any of the selections. Very nice wine staff. Make this a stop on your trip to Napa.

Learn something new every day!
Sep 2018 • Friends
Made an appointment for a tasting with friends who are long time fans of the winery. Sharon gave us a lovely tour and talked about the history of the winery and buildings. (The floor is recycled from the local school gym -- multicolor tape, gum and all!) We had the awesome opportunity to meet the wine maker, Kristof, and watch him in action. He let us taste some of the grapes that had just been picked that morning and compare to some that were a few days into the fermentation process. I had no idea that fermenting wine makes noise like Rice Crispies!

Birthday Weekend In Napa to Remember
Feb 2018 • Friends
My husband said, “You should go to Napa for your birthday with a friend!” So began the amazing weekend I’ll refer to as, “The big 47.” Gargiulo is special, lovely, storied, fragrant and filled with wines so delicious I now cannot decide if I want to save my shipment or drink it. Sue Negrini was our guide and teacher. She told about the immense work and care growing gapes for special wine requires. She showed us the storage barrels, a special project or two and the reclaimed wooden floor in the “treehouse.” The floor used to be part of a basketball court at a CA high school! You’ll want to overstay your welcome with Sue (we surely did). You’ll taste some amazing wines and order some. And then you’ll open the crate and wonder how long you’ll be able to wait before you start sipping at home. I’m hoping to wait a year on the 2015 Cabernet... wish me luck, and book a visit if you can get on their schedule. You know? Turning 47 wasn’t so bad. Thank you Sue and the Gargiulo family, for following a good idea to fruit-ition.

Amazing wines & winery with a cool story!
Feb 2018 • Couples
Had a chance to hang out with Garrett while tasting some amazing wine at Gargiulo. Located right next to Screaming Eagle you get the chance to taste some of the best wine Napa has to offer without the outrageous price tag. Would love to visit again in the near future.

Special thanks to Garrett for taking the time to share the amazing story of Gargiulo and for making the experience even better!

Georgeous setting; Amazing Wine; a Soaring experience
Nov 2017 • Friends
The winery tasting room is a converted old stone building creating from the volcanic stone of the region. The floor boards are used from a Napa high school gymnasium flooring, with the beams from an old bridge being torn down. Thus, all of this reclaimed material set a very rustic tone. There are several terraces of seating, with our tasting held on the upper terrace. This space is used a couple times a year for concerts (the owner has a recording studio and is a producer of country music) and jam sessions, with members able to stroll around with the musicians and song writers. The setting overlooks gorgeous vines, with the Screaming Eagle property within spitting distance. Lucas was our tasting guide for the day, and as a trained teacher, was able to really give an in-depth experience about these fabulous wines. Produced on the property (there are two lots, one on Money Lane versus the estate), they produce less than 5000 barrels of predominantly Cabernet, but do have some merlot production and source fruit for their white wines. They gave us a production facility tour and a walk through the barrel room, but overall, the fabulous location and wine is all you need to have a spectacular 90-120 minutes.

Pleasant tasting experience
Oct 2017 • Couples
A small vineyard which usually requires appointments for tastings. Very nice tasting room indoors, as well as a beautiful deck overlooking the vineyards. Enjoyed their Cabernets. Learned a lot about their wines and met the winemaker. Very enjoyable and recommend for a more intimate experience. Add this to your list when visiting Napa Valley.

What a visit
Nov 2016 • Couples
Gargiulo was our first winery of the day and I can say we wanted to stay there. Sue who was our host was simply outstanding, her knowledge and personality left us speechless.

Whole story behind Gargiulo in great, wines were really really good and we can't wait to open our bottle.

This is something that is a must see in Yountville/Napa.

A fun day on the patio with Sue!
Nov 2016 • Business
We were lucky enough to return to Gargiulo last weekend, during a business trip. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on their lovely patio, overlooking the beautiful countryside that is Napa Valley. We have had the pleasure of having Sue host us 3 years in a row & she is warm, friendly & so knowledgeable. The weather & the company was also great!
