Pretty good spa I guess
Sep 2016 • Couples
I don't really have any other Korean spa to compare this place with, but it seems pretty good.

The sauna rooms are pretty cool. The men's locker room was clean enough, though the ceiling for the shower area needs some major repairs.

They have really good deals on weekdays, $10 to enter before 8am and $15 before 10am.

You get 6 hours of parking validation.

First experience
Feb 2016 • Solo
To be fair, this was my very first time in a Korean spa, so I have no way of comparing it to other ones. All I can say is that I was impressed with how nice the facilities were. The staff were all very friendly, and I had a great experience. My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time there. I'm not in L.A very often, but next time I am in Koreatown, I will definitely swing by again.
Side note: they validate parking up to 6 hours. Nice little perk for L.A.

Annoying guard ladies
Dec 2015 • Friends
Being a Korean, I have been to many Korean spas and this one is small with limited facility and more expensive than the Wi Spa. Is it better? The "Aveda" theme spa feels luxurious on the surface but I felt a strange feeling that I was being watched. There were two ladies who guarded the entry into the bathhouse. They seemed to take their jobs too seriously. We asked for extra towels because the ones we had were too wet and got a lecture as to why we can only have one. When my sister said " Wi spa gives unlimited towels." The lady said " we are different from them." They need to be less visible and be there to help and support the guests instead of making guests feel uncomfortable with their overbearing stares and sharp words. And they need to fix the handle on the toilet room as it is dangerous.

Great spa and prices
Mar 2015 • Friends
Your entrance fee is waived if you get two treatments. The scrub is divine, and reflexology and accupressure are therapeutic if a little painful. Easy to spend 4 hours here. On site cafe is yummy and portions are large enough to split.

One of the best Korean Spas in L.A.
Apr 2014 • Friends
I have been to over 5 of the Korean Spas in Koreatown Los Angeles, and Crystal Spa is definitely one of the better ones. Located on the 3rd floor of a Korean mall, they usually have all Aveda products, though not always in the shampoo/conditioner dispensers as listed. However all the face and hair products that are available for use are Aveda. The four different rooms in the jimjilbang rooms which vary in degrees and ambience such as a clay room, charcoal, salt, A/C cold.

If you come before 10am during the week day, entrance is only $15. Normally $30 and parking is free in the lot. Stop by the grocery store on the ground floor, pretty cheap food.

Great spa
Mar 2014 • Friends
This place is a nice escape compared to Wi Spa. It's not usually crowded which makes it much easier to unwind and enjoy your time. It has all the usual hot and cold rooms that you'd expect, a restaurant, heated floors, etc. The locker area is smaller but very clean. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Just one visit and I'm hooked on Korean spas!
Feb 2014 • Family
My daughter has been going to this spa for years now and we finally went together during my last visit to LA. I wasn't totally sold on the idea after reading other reviews but was up for the adventure of trying something new. We spent some time in the steam room and whirlpool until they called us for our scheduled scrub. I've been to spas before for massages, dry brushing (which I now do at home) and wraps, but the experience of being scrubbed by a Korean woman in black undies was like no other spa visit I have ever had! I admit I was a little anxious at first but by the time the scrub was over and she was washing my hair - I was actually good with it! Feeling cleaner than I've ever been - and with much softer skin - we showered and got dressed in the spa uniform so we could enjoy some refreshments and the various hot rooms (with trips to the ice room in between). I actually could have spent more time there but we had other plans in the afternoon so we got dressed, moisturized our soft skin and headed out. Tip: spend as long as you can in the steam room and/or whirlpool before your scrub - at least 15 minutes - to help you shed more of your dry skin during the scrub. I will definitely go back to this spa the next time I'm in LA and in the meantime, I'm searching for the closest Korean spa I can periodically visit - now that I'm hooked! Read some of the other reviews or check out the spa's website for more details....the purpose of this review is to encourage you to try it even if you're apprehensive!

Good facial
Nov 2013 • Couples
Not knowing much about facials, I don't have much experience with facials for comparison. That being said, I've tried highly rated facials in Pasadena after getting my first few in Las Vegas. The value for the facial here was unbeatable. I'll be making this the regular spot.

As for the spa, the men's section is a little small. However, it is what you'd expect from a Korean spa.

My favorite spa in Koreatown
Oct 2013 • Friends
I go here when the weather gets cold and rainy and when my body could use some heated floors. It's clean and spacious. There's locker room where you can change, you then shower and enjoy the hot and cold bath, dry and steam sauna. There is a common area where you can enter with uniform the spa offers. Here you can lay on the mat to rest when you get over heated, or enjoy tea or Korean food. You also have access to internet< foot massage< body massage< facials> Of course, Koreans like to go here for full body scrub. It's affordable and the service is great. Most importantly, my favorite thing about this place is the heated rooms - charcoal room, mud room, rock salt room - where you can lay down to warm the body for optimal blood circulation and detox - and cooling room with jade where you can cool down between the heated rooms.
