Signed up to do Accomplice Hollywood some time ago but never got a chance to do it. They cancelled 24 hours before 'showtime', never refunded our money, but they did promise we could reschedule, before never answering any additional emails. Avoid at all costs.

I would recommend this activity for California visitors and residents alike. The "accomplice" ploy itself starts out corny, and it's awkward when the group is trying to get started, get "into it," etc., but it really builds and becomes quite a bit of fun. Once you've slogged through the initial searching for clues and you get the hang of it, you just go with the flow, and the actors at the various stops/locations are very fun/funny, and you just let your guard down and go with it. By the last "scene," I was totally relaxed and having a great time. An additional "plus" is that you get to see a lot of old Hollywood because of the various restaurants and bars in which the scenes take place. I want to return to a lot of these places just to hang--it made me really appreciate the Hollywood atmosphere. It was a very big-hearted and fun improv adventure with the added plus of experiencing some real old Hollywood gems. I don't want to spoil anything and reveal where the clues finally lead you, but we ended up spending the rest of the day there--it was awesome. Let your guard down and enjoy! (If you can book well in advance, you can try getting a discount at Goldstar.)

Today at 3:10 p.m., less than 24-hours from when my party was supposed go to Acoomplice Hollywood, I received notification from Goldstar that Accomplice Hollywood cancelled this event for tomorrow. This is completely unacceptable. I know this is not Goldstar's fault, it's the fault of Accomplice Hollywood. I wrote to Goldstar suggesting that they reconsider doing business with Accomplice Hollywood. I planned this event for my mom's 65th birthday celebration. My brother drove in from Arizona, and my aunt drove in from Seattle. This event was to be something unique for my mom to celebrate with her family. And Accomplice Hollywood cancelled with NO reason or justification, less than 24 hours in advance. That's ridiculous and unprofessional. I live nearby and there is 0% chance of rain, so that can't be the reason. When asked, Goldstar said that Accomplice Hollywood actually did not provide any reason whatsoever. I suspect the reason is that Accomplice Hollywood doesn't want to do the performance with just 5 or so goldstar members, since they get only 50% of the usual money. If that's the case, Accomplice Hollywood should not advertise with Goldstar and Goldstar should not accept Accomplice Hollywood as a client. I am very disappointed. A cancellation with no reason less than 24-hours in advance and no direct notice is completely rude and unprofessional.
