The area
Neighbourhood: Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

Chill Little Dive Bar
Feb 2015
This chill little dive bar is a great place for cheap drinks, and cheap conversation. A bonifide dive bar on the fringes of gentrification, it has gritty feel, but not too divey. Good music and generous pours.

A must-stop on your bar-hop
Jul 2013 • Friends
I live downtown, so I've been here more times than I can remember. This dive bar is full of all kinds of odd statues, knick-knacks, and random objects to keep you visually entertained. Order up an extra large PBR and you'll be right at home.

It's a light crowd in the afternoon/early evening. You can actually have a conversation and people can step outside for a smoke. During the night, it's a total zoo - at least on the weekends. By zoo I mean that there are a ton of people crammed into this tiny bar & mini dance floor. There's one stream of people trying to get in and out, and then it's wall to wall with people boozing and socializing. At little crazy, a little warm, but definitely a good time!!

In the dancing area they play lots of 80s music to keep everyone groiving. There is also a photo booth in the back too. The crowd is a good mix of folks from all walks of life and scenes, which is good because you don't have to be a hipster to fit in here. Most people are casually dressed and there is no cover charge, so go ahead and get that extra round of drinks!

relaxing, fun, and friendly
Great ambiance. If you want a place to sit with a friend and enjoy your conversation this is the place. Or, if you're interested in some up-beat fun, Bar 107 has that , too. The bartenders are personable. The owners we met were also super-friendly and concerned we had a great experience. The first time my friend and I wandered in was when they had "underwear nite". The clothing you were willing to shed went to the local homeless shelter. I've visited back a few times since and have loved the friendly atmosphere. The location is close enough to the Music Center, Chinatown, the Fashion District, Jewelry District, a variety of art galleries, in other words, close to what historic Los Angeles is all about, that makes it a convenient place to stop in. In fact, writing this makes me want to stop in again.
