About
Few places in the country can honestly say that they adequately capture the flavor of a particular location. The truth is that once the sunset, people want to get dirty, and we just help them indulge. Harvelle's takes pride in showcasing the best live Blues, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Burlesque Shows, and so much more. Our crown jewel is the Toledo show, there's really nothing quite like it. A mix of all

SAM ALERT!

They require you give a debit or credit card to order food, if you pay cash they will still bill your card for the order. Par for the course with Long Beach, you're going to get scammed by Harvelles. Beware!

JazzKat Entertainment, LLC has an awesome series of musicians performing on Sunday afternoon at Harvelle’s in Long Beach. The atmosphere is cozy! The saxophonist Bryan Thompson was amazing!

Great Blues & Burlesque
Jan 2019 • Couples
Over the last 6 years since moving back to Long Beach, we’ve noticed Harvelle’s whenever we are at the Promenade (whether eating at the Congregation or Michael’s Downtown or having drinks at The Stave) but never really thought of going to Harvelle’s. Having really enjoyed the burlesque show at The Pink Door in Seattle this past summer, we thought it was time we checked out burlesque in our hometown, so I booked tickets for their American Monster Show for last night.

What a great show! Combining live blues music with burlesque, it was a feast for the ears and eyes. The venue (downstairs below Congregation) is intimate with a sexy vibe - red lighting, candles on tables. The performers included 2 ladies doing burlesque, plus an aerialist. All were fabulous, but Erin was especially amazing at burlesque, and the aerialist was incredible.

We had VIP tickets in the center section next to the aerial hoop (highly recommend!), but the ladies perform through the room so even those with general admission tickets will have an up close experience.

We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning to go again with friends. (BTW they offer a limited menu of food from Congregation if you want to have a casual dinner with the show).

The place to be on a Tuesday night! Who knew Comedy & Burlesque was a thing
Aug 2018 • Friends
I heard about this "Saturday type" show during the week, so I said - Why not, $10 bucks is worth my curiosity?
But I wasn't ready for what was about to happen.
The show started and the host laid out some rules for the show, I've never heard of a show with rules. One of the rules was not to keep the undergarments of the dancers, what have I gotten myself into? But it's both a Comedy and Burlesque show, so I got it.
What happened after that was about two hours of, as the host put it "a crazy night of giggles and jiggles"
The comics were very funny and I recognized almost all of them from Comedy Central which was cool and awesome. I kinda felt like I found some kind of truly underground comedy celebrity hangout.
As for the dancers, they were sexy and not what I thought Burlesque dancers were supposed to be like and their sets were just as funny as the comics. Next time I go I hope the dancers pick me to go up on stage with them!
If you come to the show, you'll find out why I'm going back any Tuesday I have free.
Oh, lastly the Bartender pours drinks that made me forget about the 2 drink min if you know what I mean.

Touch of Class - Secret Hideaway!
Jan 2018 • Couples
As you wind down the stairs to the entrance you may question what you are doing, entering the club it is dimly lit with red lights, and has a sleek - intimate decor with a touch of class. The entertainment was not your everyday boring music, rather a group of beautiful young women burlesque to a rap artist that appeared to be a mix of the 1930’s meeting today. The night presented a very different, yet excellent way for us to spend an evening together. I do wish there was more places like this to go.

Classy and not trashy.

Interesting and fun
Jul 2017 • Couples
Went to this club in Long Beach to listen to a blues singer. Had a little trouble finding it, because you have to go down some stairs to get there. There was a $10 charge to get in and we were given a reserved table right in front of the stage. The decor is bright red. They have burlesque shows there which explains the decor. They have a very limited menu, but a full service bar. Ordered a small pizza had a few drinks and got a check for $30. Not bad. The food was just OK. They have a good size stage. The singer and sound system were both pretty good. Next time I would eat dinner before going there. Will definitely go back when another performer I would like to hear. lots of parking in the area and plenty of restaurants. Seems like a very safe and popular area.

Great night out
Feb 2017 • Couples
Had a great night at Harvells listening to Earth wind and Fire tribute band playing some good old fashioned gospel, funk and Jazz and Blues music. Drinks a little expensive, had a well whiskey $7.00 and a glass of red $9.00 but so what! It’s always crowded and as soon as the band starts the dance floor fills up making it hard to see them playing. Felt sorry for the people who booked tables and seats.
TIP: Catch a couple of drinks upstairs at the Congregation before it’s cheaper.

We absolutely loved this place ! Food from restaurant downstairs that's offered is very good also. We went for the Prince tribute was fantastic. It has a great vibe. We will definitely go back when we are in the area. The surrounding neighborhood is fun to walk around and many shops and restaurants.
