Not a touristy spot, but a great way to go to the beach without a lot of trouble. You can avoid the parking fee and park along the streets if you don't have a lot of gear. Bathrooms were standard park type, showers to clean...More

Good for family visits. Adequate parking. Unlike La Jolla Cove, nothing to see underwater (but you can park!).

We love this place. Nice low waves for the kids - perfect for body boarding. Surfing allowed on the right and you can walk to a spot where you can snorkel and see Tiger Sharks swimming around the feet of unaware tourists. Amazing!

The beach was busy, but yet had enough room for us to enjoy the sun and sand. They also had public showers to rinse off before we left.

Beach is long and beautiful. Sand is white and soft. A few grand houses to look at. Even in December it was a fun place to be.

Had only a couple hours to spend at the beach in La Jolla. This is a gorgeous mile Long Beach with free parking and restroom facilities. Good for families too.

First of all it’s free! The playground for kids is safe and fun. Pushing your grand kids on a swing facing the pacific is very cool. The beach is clean and the water is relatively calm making for safe family fun. You can’t beat this...More

Nice beach, lively play area for kids, bathrooms and free parking. Watch the surfers, sun bath or picnic on the grassy area.

Went Around 9:30am to the beach and it was very quiet. Lots of parking available. Clean beach. Defiantly will be back.

Hi, sunbathing should be ok, the temperatures during the day are quite warm, even right now, provided there is no cloud cover or even fog. The water temperature of the Pacific Ocean is generally not very warm, especially not... More
