This naturally heated stream is one of the best experiences I’ve had while hiking in Hokkaido. Treat yourself in the misty forest to a free foot spa! Seat mats are provided but limited so you may have to wait your turn. The stream itself along...More

If you are in Noboribetsu, this would be my number one place to go. A short trek from the town (or drive if you are lazy), you will find a little path that branches out at a sharp bend on the road. A little muddy...More

Did this on a wet and dismal day, so we could have just as easily not done this....but the extra walk was worth the wallowing in the warm water. As to whether it actually has any therapeutic value...who knows, but it was fun, and in...More

Walking along this footpath, there is an area where one can dip his/her feet in natural (very) hot water. Quite fun after a long day of hiking

An interesting detour from Jigokudani (Hell's Valley) and Oku No Yu (about 15 minutes walk from the latter). Great place to stop by to relax and recharge in the midst of a hiking trip. Quite a scenic walk as well. Do remember to plan ahead...More

This is the highlight of the walk. The hike along the trail is very satisfying , but this footbath is just a beauty . Nice warm water, good natural footbath. Fantastic .

When you've been walking in the snow for a while at it's really cold, it's great to have a place to sit down and soothe those aching feet! There are even little mats to keep your bottoms from getting wet, although I'd recommend you to...More

We were determine to make the walk and soak our feet like many others. Not disappointed at all and the steps down the the trail is fairly easy. Not many visitors during winter time and great spot for taking photos along the way.
