It was interesting to see the bears up close. I never realized just how huge the bears in Hokkaido are until I visited this place. But I feel like their enclosures could be improved a lot.

This park is just sad. The bears are cooped up in a small prison-like enclosure while tourists throw biscuits at them. Hokkaido is so big and its so sad to see these bears cooped up while there are vast lands behind them. If anything, they...More

This is a sick and inhumane place. Bears kept in pits, fighting and clawing each other for biscuits. Saw a bear with deep fresh raw triple striped wound in its neck. Place ultimately wants money from park entry and tourists to spend money at their...More

Bears are kept in a pit. This place is old and it needs to be upgraded. Beautiful views above Noboribetsu. It can get foggy in the daytime too. My kids liked the duck race.

By no means am I an activist but the bears in this exhibit live in pretty devastating conditions. Faeces is all over and cages are all tarred with absolutely no greenery or shrubs for the bears. There is little shade in summer and bears are...More

The ride to the Bear Park was refreshing as it allows the children to have a good aerial view. The Brown bears are well taken and up close, but there are only 3 sections so nothing much to see. There is a duck race, bear...More

Its a good place to visit if you have children with you.. the cable car ride is relaxing. The souvenir shop offers very limited items. You can buy cookies to feed the bears and there will be a staff to explain about the bears, in...More
