Worthwhile visit to this overlook pathway. You can get a panoramic view of the Dana Point Harbor and read the history of the cliff area. Look for plaques and a statue.

This outlook is a part of a lengthy trail along the bluff. One can begin at Strands Beach and hike through the community up the switchback path to the Nature trails and over the top of the hill to the Nature Center, from there down...More

Enjoy the harbor areas, then drive up to this bluff trail for many stunning photo spots! This is a billion dollar ocean view!

Southern California coastal bluff-top views like the ones afforded from this trail more often than not require ownership of a multi-million dollar home or pricey condo. Bravo to Dana Point for insisting that a developer, in a classic California compromise between commerce and community, create...More

Begin the trek near the "Ken Sampson Overlook" (pretty spectacular in itself) which is near the Dana Point Inn. We liked this point for the amazing views, the tranquility, and the gazebo which, unfortunately, is currently not accessible due to soil movement. Follow your nose...More

The walkway and steps leads you up and down along the bluffs as you enjoy spectacular views of the harbor below and discover a landmark statue that memorializes the transfer of hides from the cliffs to the traders and ships below for sales and export..

A brief easy walk on the clifftop with outstanding views of the harbour and ocean. Only found out about it from TripAdvisor. Does involve steps.

this is a very nice cliff side walk that offers great views; it is not strenuous at all and is more of a scenic sidewalk than a trail. if you want some great views of the harbor and the ocean this is definitely a good...More

Like all the beach overlooks, Bluff Top Trail is gorgeous. It is short, so even non-athletic people have no excuse not to get out of the car and see for themselves. Be sure to consider the statue of the Hide Drogher and learn a little...More

Terrific cliffside walkway with an absolutely amazing view of the Harbor, Capo Beach, and San Clemente. On a clear day, you can see San Diego County in the distance. There is a statue of a sailor tossing a hide off the cliff to the ships...More

It all depends where you start and finish. If you just do the bluff, then it's less two miles. Lots of options, easy, and great views.
