The rock formations are special especially with the very blue water. It is a good place to visit if you are already in the Haifa/Galilee region but definitely not a must. Visiting Akko might be more interesting and if you do not have a car it is also fairly hard to get there with public transportation.

While the grottos were cool, and the history of the train system, the experience was very short and a bit overpriced for what it is. Given everything else there is to do in Israel, this might be something one can skip.

There was plenty of car parking spaces.
Buying the tickets was easy.
The cable cars run regularly and the staff were all friendly.
Nice photographic moments.

We enjoyed our visit here but unfortunately came on a day when there was a storm and the surf was so high you could not really walk very far into the cave. Indeed, the waves were so strong, we got quite wet. That said, we enjoyed our visit and had a nice time and would come back in calmer weather if we are there again. Checking on the weather before going out to the area is likely a good idea.

Rosh HaNikra delivers when it comes to beautiful sea views that take your breath away. It’s a short cable car ride to the grottos. The sea enters the caves and you can see the fish and the cliffs. We also were delighted with the rock rabbits at the end of the old train tunnel. My 5 yo daughter was a bit scared to enter the grottos after seeing the film showing that there are bats in the caves. There were no bats in the end.

Beautiful site to visit with family and kids all ages. Your dogs included! The term to get down there is short and not scary at all. The tour is beautiful. Make sure you're coming with good shoes cause it's really slippery there! Don't miss this

It is a nice place, but I think it is also one of the most overrated and overpriced tourist attractions in Israel. We arrived at 9 (when they open the doors), and got to the grottoes at 10. The lines are very long even in the morning and we had to wait mostly under the sun. The grottoes are nice but the water inside was full of garbage which is really disappointing. The whole grotto experience is not more the 20 minutes. After that we wanted to rent bikes, but after we had seen those very neglected and rusty bikes we opted for the golfcar. You can drive it to the neighboring Betzet Beach. But if you go to Betzet you can drive/walk the same path - for free. Going back we waited another 40 minutes (no shade).

We had someone in our party in a wheelchair. It is. There is a special line to the cable car. They gave us our own cable car for our party and the wheel chair. Once u r at the caves there r parts u can’t see cuz Ramps r wet and many stairs. But other parts u can see. Also the golf cart add on May be worth a look.

Is this place safe for independent travellers? We plan to visit it next week, however, some people told us it is not safe there.
Thank you for your help.

Good morning, I want to go to Rosh Hanikra caves. Do you know the entrance fee please ! Thank you.
What's the entrance fee? Can Rosh Hanikra be self-toured?

I'm not sure about the entrance fee but I'm sure you don't need a guide to tour in the grotos
