All of us loved the walk by the water. We visited at dusk, and the ocean was a beautiful sight. Surprisingly, it wasn't too crowded.

We stayed across the road from the beach, watched the sunset on the rocks and the sea lions in the tidal pools. Gorgeous!

Very nice boardwalk trail along the ocean. Nice to walk in the mornings and watch the sunset. A nice place to be away from the crowds.

Being from S. California, I have been to a lot of beaches. What is so fun about going to northern Calif. beaches is seeing the sea lions and otters in the ocean. So bring your binoculars so you can see them better as they bob...More

A well maintained boardwalk follows the beach along sandy, rocky and small cliff areas for a few miles of beautiful pathways. Driving along Moonstone Drive follows the beach; not dissimilar to Highway 1, but less traveled, more up close and personal.

Stroll along the beach. Feed the seagulls. Look for drift wood and moonstones. Fun relaxing time. Windy and cooled in November

A beautiful, wild, windswept beach, and it was delightfully deserted when i was there. The boardwalk is a great touch, getting to and from the beach.

Beautiful and peaceful place to unwind after a hectic trip along Hwy 1 or even after a shopping visit through the quaint town of Cambria. The place is not so crowded that you can leisurely walk and relax as you inhale the fresh ocean breeze.

Not, it's not a Hawaii or Caribbean beach, but it's not the dramatic, almost unforgiving and stoic beauty of the Oregon coast either, although there are elements of both here. What it is, is a meditative spot for overlooking beautiful surf, a spot for contemplation,...More

Dogs are allowed on the boardwalk but not on the beach. There are a few dog-friendly hotels along the drive.
