The benchmark for recognizing the site of Montaperti’s battle (1260 AD) is a hill, called “Monteapertaccio”, overlooking the plain north of the Arbia river. The site is easily reached from the hamlet of Montaperti, being reported by signs (and is also included in hiking circuits)...More
