The visited Corner Bier four times while I was in Songkhla. The first time it was brilliant; the other three times it was closed. Virtually all of the farang-oriented bars in Songkhla are located along a 450 meter stretch of Thanon Si Suda in the city center. Corner Bier is the second to last bar at the northern end. I visited Corner Bier just before sunset on the day I arrived in Songkhla. It’s a very friendly, relaxing little pub. The conversation flows, the beer is ice cold and the gentle easterly coming in from the sea is really soothing. A second beer quickly becomes a fifth (or was it sixth?). Great little bar friendly staff and it's on the street so you can watch the world go by while having a beer. Also great for a chat with the owner Tam very knowledgeable about the area as he's been a resident in Songkhla for 20+ years.

The friendliest little bar in Songkhla! Although it is quite small, there is plenty of seating and lots of cold refreshments on offer. While there isn't a kitchen, menus are available fro surrounding restaurants, which will deliver free of charge. The staff are fantastic and the friendly local clientele guarantee a fun filled night.…
