This helicopter trip was a surprise for my husband and I, and we were so excited when we were dropped at the airstrip at Ker & Downey Shinde! Having travelled around the Delta on light planes, I thought the experience would be similar, but it was way better. There are no doors on the helicopter so you have unparalleled views of animals below. We saw an enormous herd of buffalo, giraffes and loads of red lechwe. Fondy was a great pilot, always cracking jokes and he made sure we had so much fun and saw the Delta from yet another perspective. A helicopter safari with Helicopter Horizons should be added to your bucket list. Our trip was a memory we will keep forever.…

What an amazing experience! We had the doors off and breathtaking views all round of the Delta from the sky! Fondy, our pilot, made us feel very comfortable and spoilt us with champers in a beautiful open field midway through our charter! He made sure everyone had a chance to see all the wildlife below us. (Thanks Fondy!) We were well communicated with from start to finish and that made me feel very safe for my first ever helicopter ride!…

My sister and I flew with Fondy. This was our first time ever in a helicopter and Fondy was funny, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe when in the air. For someone who gets motion sickness easily, Fondy made our ride very smooth. The helicopter has open doors which added to the views and excitement.…

The Okavango Delta is incredible. I recommend touring it via boats, land cruisers, walking tours and seeing it from a helicopter is 100% a must do. It is the only way to see the delta from the top down and absorb its greatness. Doors off, the view, the sightings... ahh absolutely superb, take me back there. Do not short yourself this experience by passing on the helicopter. Our pilot Fondy was fun, informative and made us feel relaxed. This company did a great job.…

We did a 1 hour flight over the Moremi, starting in the Duba Concession, with helicopter pilot Aron, and - wow! Doors off, flying at various altitudes, we saw some of the most incredible scenery in a completely new way. You can cover a lot of ground in a short time in a helicopter and with all the water in the Delta - it's an incredible way to see the Okavango Delta! We did a 10 day Botswana safari and the footage from this helicopter flip is the most spectacular footage we have overall. The helicopter itself is perfect - small and very exciting during take off. It sounds obvious, but because it's smaller than the Cessna's and more agile, and you can speak with each other and decide in which direction to go - you feel like you're flying much more so than in a small plane. I recommend late afternoon. The pilot told us it's one of his favourite times to fly and it does not disappoint. Incredible!…
