Love the wildlife and you can have sightings all by your self. I did a self drive and all camps are wild.

Moremi is unique. Nowhere else can you experience nature in its purest state. Not for the inexperienced. You need to plan every minute detail. There are no shops, no fuel, no mobile signal, no roads to speak of. A 4 x 4 vehicle is absolutely essential. Navigation can only be done using coordinates. A good satnav is vital. Wild animals WILL intrude in your campsite, including elephants, lions, hippos and hyenas. Be careful. The first night that I was in camp, a camper in another site was bitten by a hyena. Most of the campsites are remote from one another, secluded and private. Ablution blocks are good and clean. Hot water from solar power is available. The camp staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful Talk to them, they can give you much needed advice. After dark, it is dangerous to walk to the ablutions, if you have to go, drive there. all food and drinking water must be brought with you. Once in the Moremi, there are absolutely no supplies. Expect to average 6 to 10 mph when you travel. The so called roads are dreadful. It is rough and tough out there, but it is absolutely phenomenal, not to be missed. There are several companies offering fully equipped 4 x 4 vehicles for hire. Most of them are equipped with long-range fuel tanks, fresh water tanks, and fridge/freezers as well as being equipped with tents, bedding, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. There will always be extra equipment that you need to buy, including plastic containers for dry goods, butter, milk and other items. Glass bottles tend to get smashed on the rough roads and dry goods packets tend to burst, leaving a huge mess. PREPARATION is essential, think everything through carefully. Make sure that you have everything that you need for the duration of your stay, you won't get a second chance. Make sure that you have a very powerful torch, to survey the area around your camp at night. If there is anything there, you will see their eyes and you can retreat to safety. Make sure that you have enough batteries. IT IS THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME, don't miss it. You will need to book a year in advance.

We were actually at Moremi in May, at the end of their dry season before the rains come. We thought it might be easier to see the animals when there were fewer places for water, but our guide told us that regardless of the time of year, there is plenty of animals to see...and boy, was he right! We were there for three days, so we had a total of 6 drives and on each drive we had an amazing experience. From early morning lion kills of a zebra to the late afternoon elephant family playing with their kids in the mud, the viewing was some of the best we've ever had. Definitely will be going back!!

The Moremi is one of the special places on earth. The largest inland delta in the world never disappoints! The flora and fauna are indescribable! Enjoy!

This game reserve is worth the visit - you can see both land animals such as elephants and antelope as well as water animals such as crocs and hippos.

Unfortunately we on spent one night at Khwai Camp on our way from Savuti to Maun. Khwai campsite has large treed sites and the ablution facilities are in excellent condition. A representaive from SKL, who manage the campsite came and spoke to us and informed us of the game drives within the area and what we were likely to see. A small herd of Elephant passed close to the camp and we were visited by a Spotted Hyena during the evening.

I have already experienced Botswana parks in the past but never Moremi before: well it is really wonderful, not only for the high number of animals we were able to watch but mainly beacuse they were very close to us and the surronding landscape was amazing: colors, trees, water pools. Moreover it is the first time that I see a total of 15 lions in the same day ( 1 big group of 7 and smaller of 2/3 each). Apart from the natural beauty of the park itself our guide did a great job ckecking all the remote corners and following the footprints left by cats on the ground. I am pretty sure that he made the difference
