Great
Jul 2021
Love love love it ! We got the season pass a month ago and we have already been twice ! It’s so worth it if you’ll be visiting more than once so you can enjoy it at your pace.
My kids love kidsville and snoopy land there are so many rides for 3 year olds which they can do by themselves or with an adult.
My kids also enjoy the huge playground !

The diving and stunt shows are a must see!

Maybe I'll go to see the place...
Aug 2021
I've never been in Wasaga beach. I lived in Toronto for 46 yrs. and the only lake I know is Ontario lake, Queen st. E. beach, Toronto. Great clean beach, great water the beach is very long you can walk for hours and still so much long beach ahead and parks to go. I dont know much about Wasaga beach sound like it is very crowded beach so much people and where is so much crowds there is no clean beach. More like the Barrie beach, The only thing in Barrie the beach is so small and huge crowds creating garbage everywhere. Not much place to seat to get some sun, nevermind to swim.

We didn't actually go to this beach but we went to beach 1 and the new beach and they were beautiful. i did drive into the provincial park and it was reasonable price for all day. you can walk out on sandy beach for miles til it gets deeper. lots of sand bars.

Unleashed Dogs
Aug 2021
New Wasaga Beach, Allenwood area, Mamie Ave, during the whole day we had people with unleashed big dogs. It was no security, and nobody enforced park rules. There are signs that say that dogs are not allowed on the beach.

The second concern is the beach road with parking area. It is one way road. We saw four cars stuck in the sand, and people had difficulties to get out. Some drivers were women with kids in the car.

Sad to see how it has become
Aug 2021
It has been 20 years since my last visit. On Civic holiday Monday I brought my family to Wasaga Beach to show them how beautiful it is - it WAS, in my memory. I almost cried when we approached.

Before reaching the beach, there were groups and groups of people on the grass area, foreign chanting music was loud and felt like we were in India (I am merely telling what I saw - like >90% of people I saw, at Beach #5 grass area were Indians).

Where is the beautiful beach that I used to know? The sand area has become so narrow now and my sons didn't want to touch the sand or the water as the sand was too dark and a thick belt of black sand was there at the edge meeting the water. I saw a family barbequing on the beach threw a hamburger and a group of sea gulls were fighting for the meat. I stared at them but what else could I do? People just love to feed sea gulls with their food, don't they.

I at least could persuade my sons to stroll along on the world's longest fresh water beach. Every one was like within 2 meters of another person and the beach was like a ghetto (I am merely using this word to describe the atmosphere and surrounding, not pointing at any race, as the races in the beach per se were more mixed) - the noise, the garbage, food waste near the water, etc.

I just felt very sad. We left within 30 mins. Maybe it is better on a weekday but I don't find any good reason to go back again.

good for kids
Jul 2021
water is cold year round but sand is very soft and clean. good for kids as the water is shallow for a long way out. Lots of shops even close to beach # 4 where there are less people. Beautiful splash pad that is free. Ice cream shop is very good and prices are reasonable. $7.50 for a large sugar cone filled from top to bottom with ice cream

Great fun on the beach!
Aug 2020
This is the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park.

There were many people here and swimming in the bodies of water.

There were birds on the beach.

There were people at the bodies of water, just for talking.
No dogs.

I liked it! Wow!

Amazing
May 2021 • Family
Due to Covid-19 restrictions the restaurant had to reformat their business to a deli/take out with the same upscale quality that their restaurant represented. Upscale quality pre-made sandwiches are available that could easily feed two people for the approximately $10-$15 range. When you consider the quality of the product it would cost a great deal to replicate. Upscale deli, cheeses, take out, frozen and condiments...a must visit! Heading to the cottage and don’t want to cook? Stop by and pamper yourself in upscale food at reasonable prices...I paid $28 (including taxes) for two meals at a sub shop and no where near the quality.

Phoney reviews
Aug 2020
This site proves how reviews can be posted by liars.

A post from Aug 2020 raved about the large Sandy beach. WHERE is it. The beach has bee plagued by VERY high water levesl to the point almost NO beach exists any more. The REAL beach from my youth was over 100 feet wide and was often used as a landing strip for airplanes and motor cycle races.

Anyone who rates the beach now as the beautiful wide Wasaga of the past is a liar.

Mismanaged
Dec 2020 • Family
I come here twice a year for over 30 years. Bad decision after bad decision. No representation by government to protect the water level from the shipping giants that have damned the water at locks, causing the beaches and homes to flood. Canada and their laid back policies. Here at this park Canadian diversity is on full display. In the summer, people digging holes in the sand to poop. Is there any management or enforcement of policy? Apply fines or tickets to people who do not follow policy. Rules are supposed to be in place to make the experiences of all those that go to a park have a pleasant experience. Today we saw a shoe in a tree. What a shame. The picnic tables are ancient. Clean up and enforce rules. Wasaga is like a trailer park.
