Qavam House which also called Narenjestan-e Ghava is a traditional and historical house and garden in Shiraz which was built between 1879 and 1886. It has very beautiful garden also with orange trees but this time it was not so many of them. You can also buy here interesting souvenirs.

Visiting this lovely garden and eye catching mansion will never be repetitive. You'll always enjoy it. Take your time, walk patiently along the corridor of this tiny garden and smell deeply. You can also sit for some minutes in its café.

Beautiful old house and garden and well maintained. The garden has a coffee bar where you can taste the vermicelli ice cream with rose water (Faloodeh) which is a Persian dessert. In the cellar of the house are some great galleries where you can buy beautiful souvenirs,

A beautiful house in the old part of Shiraz where there is a garden with orange trees. In the spring, this house and its surroundings are very spectacular.

This beautiful house was built in Ghajar Time with a big garden of sour orange trees, roses garden (there was no roses in winter ofcourse!) and different plants .it looks like a botanic garden. I could find " Wintersweet" , one of my favorite plants that is rare and blossom in a short time in winter and many people come to this garden to see it.

I did a guided live-streamed tour with Heygo and the guide was Farzaneh. She was an excellent guide using her camera expertly to give us close-up of the amazing artwork in the house. We could even take photographs of it and I took 82 shots in the one hour guided tour.
She explained that there are many Narenjestan trees ( sour orange trees) in the garden and hence its name as Narenjestan Museum. Beside the typical Persian garden with its fountain in the middle, the main building which was built between 1879-1886 on the Northern side of the garden is called Qavam House.
The house was an example of the typical house for the upper class families in the 19th century.
Standing in the garden she turned the camera around to show us the decorative walls of the museum. Wall paintings in the front side of the garden includes three Qajari figures in colourful costumes. The paintings on the tiles are very colourful and elaborate with fine details.
In the interior of the house, wood works, mirror work, glass work, and stucco work, paintings and the other ornaments that used in this building made it very unique in Shiraz. This house offers its visitors a unique window into the history of Shiraz’s architecture.
Mirror and glass work adorn the ceilings and walls of the house have paintings created on them, all showing great attention to details.
There is a marbled fire place in one of the rooms and a painting is inscripted on top of the fireplace.
Wood carving on the doors includes inlay of other materials to create floral designs.
There are frescoes painted on the ceiling of the upper room which was inspired by the Victorian era Europe
Although this house is small, the amount of artwork here seems enormous. It showcases excellent, amazing artwork here made more interesting by our lovely guide.
