We did this walk from Church Stretton on a decent December day. There may not be the height of some of the uk's National Parks but the views rival anywhere in the country. Well worth a visit

Called by here to run out 2 dogs, enroute to Shrewsbury. Top car park is quite big, National trust £3 in winter. The walk to the waterfall is just under a mile up the valley, Rocky and uneven in places but worthwhile.

The Shropshire hills are a surprise. They look like real mountains but are small and easy to climb even with dodgy knees. The wayward Pole Bank walk was excellent

I have heard of the "Long Mynd" many times and always assumed the peak was only accessible on foot;- until I looked at a map and saw that a road from the centre of Bishops Castle lead straight to the top. Although a little "hairy"...More

11 km long and 5km wide. The 1700 ft elevation offers incredible views of the steep valleys with their charming local towns. It has the feel and beauty of a 17th century painting...Single track roads make an interesting drive...
