What an incredible trip to Lamb, Craigleith, and Bass Rock. Our original water tour of just Bass Rock had to be cancelled and I am so glad it was—otherwise we would have missed out on the Three-Island Seabird Safari, a fun, exhilarating, fact-filled, and awe-inspiring seventy-five minutes.

We went out on a rubberized raft that was safe, comfortable, and afforded every passenger fantastic views of the islands and the wildlife/birds on and around them. We were visiting North Berwick after the breeding season, so we missed the puffins, but we saw cormorants, seals, the mind-blowing Northern Gannets, other birds I can't even remember the names of, and even a puffling (a baby puffin) that had been blown back to the place of its birth by the strong winds coming off the North Sea. Our guide, Billy, and our skipper (Steve, I think?) were knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

On the way back to the harbor, we passed a site of numerous shipwrecks, a WWII radar base, and Tantallon Castle, and our guide shared lore and stories of these places during the entire ride back.

If you're anywhere near North Berwick, don't miss the opportunity to see the birds and other amazing creatures up close and from the safety of one of the Scottish Seabird Centre's boats. You'll be glad you went.

Very informative and great for kids and adults. Kids had a lot of hands on activities and adults had plenty of information boards to read as well as a theatre with short films and live cams of birds in the area.

Staff were really friendly and Kevin was very informative and took time to explain more than what the boards had.

Highly recommend!!!

Lovely trip yesterday to the Isle of May on one of the RIB's - started off with a very atmospheric haar then cleared to a lovely day. All the boat crew and other staff were lovely, friendly and good fun. Although the Puffin's had left a few days previously there was plenty to see and the time on the Island flew past. Sitting out the front of the boat, watching the seals was a real treat on the return journey. Thank you, we plan to see you again in June next year.

We went on the two island boat trip with Captain Lex and Billy. We really enjoyed seeing the Gannetts on Bass island, but we're disappointed not to see the Puffin's as they had left for the season. Great boat trip, lovely weather and great crew

We really enjoyed the 3 Island Seafari with Captain Robin and Guide Billy.

Billy was both entertaining and knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife.

The trip was great fun and we saw loads of birds and a couple of seals.

I would thoroughly recommend this - be sure to wear your waterproofs!

Visited the Scottish seabird Centre and found it very interesting, we used the remote cameras set up on the local islands, we saw puffin and grey seals. We also booked a boat trip using the seabird boat crewed by Lex and Billy, Lex is the captain and Billy did the talk .it was fascinating and Billy was very knowledgeable.

In-depth knowledge of staff, great interactive displays, fab live action cameras of wildlife! All this made for a great visit to the Seabird Centre with my two teenage children and 4 month old puppy. Everyone was very friendly, including Taylor who gave us a very warm welcome (especially the puppy!) and introduction and Kevin who provided us with detailed puffin information and sustainability information - a lot of food for thought, learnt a lot today!

This is a small facility on the tip of a rocky bit of North Berwick. It has a small shop and a decent sized cafe which sells coffees and meals. In the basement section is the seabird exhibition. It consists of a number of hands on exhibits which teach you about seabirds in the area and also about the aquatic areas surrounding Scotland. It has live cameras on various islands in the Forth and you can see the seabirds in live time. There’s a nice tunnel which is all about migration and, if you have one and a half hours to spend you can watch a marvellous 3D film about the tropical waters off Fiji called “Wonders of the Sea”. It is very reasonably priced and you could spend a couple of hours here quite easily.
