Stunning views of East Lothian with various routes to the top to cater for all levels of fitness. I always climb it when in North Berwick as the views are amazing. You may be lucky to see the beautiful ponies that graze on the Law to maintain the grass. It is a must do when in NB

The walk up is not too difficult, there were grazing horses which was rather surprising. There are two signaling stations, one from the Napoleonic war and another from the second world war. There is also a replica of a whalebone.

Nice walk from the town centre to the jaw took around 20mins to get to the foot of the hill…nice fairly easy (tricky in parts…without the right footwear) climb…well worth it for the view from the top!!

Dragged the kids and dog up here one morning. It’s a great experience. Steep at times but easily manageable by the children. It is very windy! Blows the cobwebs away for sure. The views are awesome and worth the trek.

What a view! Totally worth the effort of going allll the way up!

It’s a bit steep at times but I’m sure we’ve taken the harder paths. Ive seen very young kids and elderly folk coming both up and down! So it’s accessible to all!

There are benches located at ‘view points’ so you can sit and catch your breath, and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area!

What a treat to climb Law after seeing it as I came in on the train from Edinburgh. It is possible to walk there in 30 minutes from the Station - it’s found easily enough using a mapping app. Otherwise there’s a car park if you are driving.

There are various paths up of differing levels of difficulty. They are not signposted but you can more or less tell from the steepness of the ground. If you are taking the gradual routes this can definitely be done in normal shoes and by all ages. It takes about 20-30 mins to get to the top depending on your speed with plenty of points to stop, chill, and take in the view.

This was my favourite thing to do in North Berwick and would definitely recommend it to everyone! I went on a summer’s day so was quite hot throughout but on other days you may want an extra layer for the top where it is windier.

Fantastic place to visit and have a walk.

Managed to walk to the top in 40 minutes, really slowly. I think you would benefit from walking around it first and then walking to the top. Really nice area and you can see a lot from the very top.

Very windy at the time, much more than at the bottom - maybe not so suitable for a smallish child for safety reasons - would need to be careful so the wind does not push them off.

Beautiful routes up well worn paths to the commonly spotted whale bones that are a prominent feature on the landscape.
Easy to walk with small children and dogs and beautiful views over the east coast
