Cool gallery with some really funky jewelry and brass items. Love the signature on the paper bags and really nice touch. Quality work and I felt reasonably priced. Worth a stop in if in the Selfoss area.

This shop has some of the coolest stuff. The artist makes everything herself. Also, she is very friendly and informative. Her shop is easy to find. We’ll be stopping by again the next time we’re in town.

This is a very small gallery with works made by Icelandic artists. The artist in residence does glasswork in traditional and modern styles. A good place to shop for gifts, unique selection.

This was another place we suggested that wasn't on the tours list of things to do. The tour guide would take suggestions and would call places like this and we would either leave a little bit earlier for our planned destinations or call the person at these little shops and they would come back and open on our way back to the hotel. Beautiful handmade glass beads.

We stopped in on our way back to selfoss, and found quite a gem. The artist was very nice and took time to talk to the kids about bead making. We picked up several gifts for our family back home.

We followed signs for the wool shop on a rainy day drive down to the South coast, only to find that the wool shop was closed. However, sharing the building was the shop/gallery/studio of this young yet experienced glass blower and ceramic artist. She was happy to explain to us how she is the only living person in Icceland who both knows how to use both the modern glass bead-making method and the traditional Viking method, using a replica of a Viking kiln crafted based on extensive archaeological research. I was impressed with her knowledge, and you could sense her passion for the craft. She explained to us the significance of the words etched into her pieces in the Viking language as meaning that after all the changes of the earth's circumstances the only thing that stays is love.

I stopped at Fanndis's shop and was amazed by the quality of her artistic creations and the thought that has gone into her work. Truly amazing jewellery and art.
