Welcome to the New Town Of Selfoss. Selfoss Centre offers a variety of restaurants in The Old Dairy to choose from, with special focus on local ingredients. Cafes, pubs and a local brewery will add to the experience day and night. Selfoss is ideally located in the South of Iceland with the Ring Road nr. 1 going literally through the town, making it a great hub between the Golden Circle and the South shore.

This is a nicely done and walkable area consisting of old and new buildings housing shops and restaurants. The main building is the old dairy which has a food court with a variety of restaurants. Nice for some shopping and dining.

In the centre of Selfoss there were a number of traditional buildings that were either in a bad state of repair or previously fire damaged so a project was created to revive the area. The new centre opened in 2021 with 35 traditional buildings which were either renovated or newly constructed. We visited in March 2022 and we liked the feel of the place and attention to detail giving the area a truly historic feel.
