Toured the grounds and buildings of Taliesin West on a beautiful March day. An incredible place with great vistas and the very brilliant mind and work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Phil was our tour guide and what a great job he did. His enthusiasm and...More

We took the tour with Myrna, who was excellent. Taliesin West is very interesting. My husband is disabled, and the tour was a great pace for him.

Our guide Phil C. was charming and funny. Unlike other FLW sites, because this is still a school, it focused a lot on his role as a mentor and teacher. We had a wonderful time at the site.

We were surprise how the building's were built, how Mr. Wright persistence to reach the water level made all things possible incredibly unbelievable how in the middle of dry desert you will find a pool and beautiful landscape/flowers! I would love to go back again....More

This place has a long history. FLW would bring his family, apprentices, and their families to this enclave in the desert every winter, thus escaping the Wisconsin winters at the original Taliesin. We did the “Insights” tour and had a marvelous docent. It was 90...More

He was a well recognized architect and here was a place he loved, and used for not only his home but also a school, where he could mold young architects. He firmly believed in making use of the land and the surrounding environment to maximize...More

Taliesin West is a very interesting place to visit. On one hand, it is an architectural treasure, one that, at the time, modernized the homes we live in today; On the other hand, it is a sad testament to how we treat such treasures. It...More

Interesting tour of an icon school. You come away understanding how driven Frank Loyd Wright was. He had students build the school. It was larger that I had visioned and is still a working school. Great view of Phoenix from the school.

I do not believe you can tour the outside grounds on your own, but you can visit the gift shop and café without buying a tour ticket.
